This is a little reanimator concept I've been toying with.. Angels and Demons .. it only makes sense to reanimate them, right?
I developed this deck with the intention of controlling the battlefield in an aggressive way. My primary win cons are Angel of Serenity,
Angel of Despair
, and
Shadowborn Demon
reanimated over and over.. and over again with Conjurer's Closet, Cloudshift, and Obzedat's Aid. To be honest, I don't rely on the Whip of Erebos in this deck as most reanimators would, but play the card for it's utility instead.
Lotleth Troll, Nyx Weaver, and Kin-Tree Invocation have been really consistent early game threats and yard fillers to stall until all the reanimating destruction. I've come across quite a bit of reanimation control, so they've really helped keep me competitive until I can hardcast cards like Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord.
I added Rune-Scarred Demon to tudor creatures depending on my situation at the time while the extra draw or free creature from Deadbridge Chant supplements the really high mana curve in this deck. I'm on the fence about running a second one, though.
Angel of Serenity
+
Conjurer's Closet
have been an incredibly effective combo to control the board and my graveyard. I've also had great success with damage from Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord
+
Lotleth Troll
or Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and any of the other angels or demons really, since I added him to this deck.
Angel of Despair
is ridiculous for removal. Period. This thing destroys everything, so I prefer to play the Angel of Despair
+
Conjurer's Closet
combo instead of whipping it in. I even splashed in
Malfegor
to help deal with pesky tokens and indestructibles while filling the yard.
This happens to be my favorite deck to play at the moment, although it's not the most consistent yet. I'm open to suggestions because I'd like to get it to play better. I'm thinking I can narrow my creature base and refine quantities to get some consistency.. but they're all just so fuckin fun to play lol
