A deck that relies on stalling to be as annoying as possible.
Main stabilization mechanic is from Mirror Mockery. It triggers enter the battlefield and the token is expendable (read Sacrifice or Exploit). All creatures on here interact with it in that manner.
- Dragon's Eye Savants doesn't, but it's for stabilizing and to be exploited by Profaner of the Dead.
The finisher is Awakening. Halimar Tidecaller (works with Mirror Mockery) brings the cards back, so you don't have to worry about saving the 1 CMC control cards. Displacement Wave ignores all your awakened lands, leaving you with a nice clean slate.
Controlling the board:
Faerie Miscreant is there to fill the one drop slot, and I'm not going to complain about the synergy Faerie Miscreant
+
Mirror Mockery
.
Sidisi's Faithful's body should just block tiny things all day and all night. If they do prove to be nasty, you can always sac something (like a Faerie Miscreant) to annoy them in late game. Using Mirror Mockery + Sidisi's Faithful
, the token can sac itself, bouncing 1 thing per turn if needed.
Harbinger of the Tides is pretty self-explanatory. Good value, the potential as an instant is also nice.
Mirror Mockery + Whirler Rogue
works as it can generate a lot of tiny things to overwhelm and serve as bodies to block. The more important factor of why this is in there is to make things unblockable so you don't ever have to worry about swinging with something.
Dragon's Eye Savants + Profaner of the Dead
is kind of dirty. Mirror Mockery + Profaner of the Dead
means that your opponents (all of them) can't stick their tiny little aggro ticks on the board (goodbye tokens). The larger creatures the other cards should be able to handle.
Critique and recommend please :>
Just a heads up, I'm going to play this in a super casual budget environment, so probably $3 is the upper limit I can do on a card
