Hi! Welcome to the first attempt to make a decent guide to a deck that I designed and love.

In it's core this is a initiative deck, we run as many take the initiative ETBs effects as possible, like Aarakocra Sneak, Bloodboil Sorcerer, Rilsa Rael, Kingpin, Trailblazer's Torch.

The main strategy is to take the initiative as fast as we can, and complete the undercitry over and over and over and over again. We don't want to delve in the other dungeons, try to only venture into the dungeon when you already HAVE the initiative. The undercity is a toolbox, and we will use it plenty.

But you may ask, where does our beloved doctor fit? Good question! The Doctor fills two important roles:

  1. The most obvious is that he makes us explore two rooms per turn PLUS all the ETBs effects previously mentioned, this allows us to advance quickly and complete the undercity in just a couple of turns or even in a single turn.

  2. The second important role, is that he draws attention naturally by existing and giving an extra upkeep each turn, we care about this because our opponents will be tempted to remove him from the battlefield, waste resources like removals or negates when in reality he is not that relevant to our strategy.

On top of the doctor, we run a couple of extra upkeep - begining phase cards like Paradox Haze, Shadow of the Second Sun, Sphinx of the Second Sun and Obeka, Splitter of Seconds, not only do this cards give us an extra upkeep effect (or even a draw and untap step) they can be win-con enablers with cards like Mechanized Production, Court of Ambition, Court of Vantress or Dragonmaster Outcast.

I am going to iterate the deck, I feel that it could be much more tight in some regards, so that it is more consistent when it comes to closing the game. Also I think there are a couple of cards that are win more, and aren't really functional for what the deck is trying to achieve.
