Can I ask how you managed to add that glow effect to some of your cards? Also, the picture above everything?

Okay Reki, the History of Kamigawa will be a definite addition to my Sisay deck too, so thanks for that! :) (Sisay's command: EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! ☠). It's funny how different route we have taken with the same starting point :)

Most of the cards I would have suggested you already seem to have in maybe board. But here is some: Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, Odric, Master Tactician. I know, quite heavy on CMC but manageable with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx that you can tutor with sisay too. And that said, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx is the best possible card to have in Sisay deck.

Luutamo - I used some Javascript, I've put it on Pastebin for you.

Reki is stupidly good, I almost always have a full hand if he's in play. I intentionally go fairly removal light, to mix it up since my other EDH decks are quite removal heavy relative to my local group.

Your Sisay deck looks to be really interesting, I'm intrigued at how completely different it is.Its great that Sisay is a build around me commander who has a multitude of options in deckbuilding.

Avacyn would be amazing! Yomiji, Who Bars the Way sort of works in my deck as the poor man's version, but she is so much better.

I had Odric in the deck for a while but never actually tried tutoring him up. You're right in that he deserves a spot though, so good at pushing through a stalled boardstate. I might chuck him back in and take the Nyx from my goat deck to take them both for a spin this Friday :-)

"But you can only have one Legend as per the Legendary rule on the board!.... oh, wait!"

Great deck, love the theme :) +1

Thanks! Is it okay if I utilize that code for my deck too?

I took out Hero's Blade from my deck and replaced it with Hedron Matrix, but I also run Puresteel Paladin. I also just started using Awakening Zone with Deathrender, mix this with Captain Sisay and you can get creatures from your hand onto the battlefield with 2 mana and you're gaining one back from the eldrazi spawn. It does take a little bit of setup, but the cards can be tutored for and when it's on the field, it's awesome. You also might like Endless Horizons or Boundless Realms.

The only card I would suggest is Day of Destiny because, it is a legendary creature deck and as a bonus it is a legendary enchantment

I'm bringing this deck to a semi-casual tournament this weekend, so will be making some (temporary) alterations to increase the power level slightly over the next few days.

A few observations if you will:

  • Land Tax in green decks doesn't make sense. You should be playing ramp to get you ahead of the curve, not filling your hand up. The same thing goes for Journeyer's Kite.

  • Time of Need has the exact same feeling about it. Especially since the no tuck rule is a thing now. Why not either A) ramp harder to play sisay earlier or B) play something like Thousand-Year Elixir to let you get 2 sisay tutors every turn. Not to mention the pseudo haste is really nice.

Thanks for the suggestions enpc, much appreciated :-)

You're absolutely right - The kite is an auto-include for so many decks of mine that it sort of snuck in by default. I'll swap the kite and tax for some better ramp such as Explosive Vegetation (and Skyshroud Claim if I can get one). I play so many lands that even without lots of ramp spells tax is a dead card 90% of the time, come to think of it.

I've encountered some groups who use the old tuck rule, but Thousand-Year Elixir would certainly be a better use of the card slot. If I can get my hands on one I'll put it in the deck and move Time of Need to the sideboard.

no problem, happy to help.

If you wanted a few more ideas, I would highly recommend having a look at this deck:

This is my girlfriend's Captain Sisay deck. Budget wise, well it isn't. But it could give you some really good both short and long term ideas for your deck. I would highly recommend looking into especially some of the ramp package used. I feel like your deck could easily cut quite a few of the more vanilla or more niche cards for a bit more consistency ramp wise.

Also, I would look into swapping that Ghost Quarter out for a Strip Mine or at least Tectonic Edge pronto :P

Was up real late, so don't take what I'm saying to much to heart. For instants Path to Exile, Oblation and Krosan Grip are all worth considering. For enchantments, Asceticism and/or Privileged Position might help you protect your things, while Mirari's Wake and Aura Shards are great for completely separate (but obvious) reasons. Karametra, God of Harvests might be a nice card for you too . . . indestructible ramp. Tooth and Nail is awesome if you can resolve it, will be even better if you can fit Avacyn, Angel of Hope into your deck.

Good luck!

After the Dick.Dec tournament I'll be updating this list to incorporate some of the new cards I got for the competitive version. I don't want this version to play the stax and all-in acceleration, but I will be playing some of the straight up good cards.
