Your four drops are your only creatures that are too big to draw the cards from the Mentor. It says 2 or less, so all of your two power creatures still trigger the effect. If you're too worried about having the Pegasus in the opening hand then you could always run it as a singleton. If you can get a draw engine in here then the fact that there's only one wouldn't be too atrocious.

I'll give you a example of why Mentor of the Meek wont work. So I have Field Marshal and Honor of the Pure on the battlefield. Then I play Elite Vanguard . He is a 4/3 when he comes into play so it can't trigger Mentor of the Meek s ability.

Yeah. When I made the post I was thinking anthems and lord effects were triggered for some reason. Shortly thereafter I realized they're board state effects and had a "duh" moment. I was just much too lazy to come and correct myself.

Draw engine; Seeing as you want to keep mono-white - How about Infiltration Lens ? They block or they take damage. Not too expensive to bring out either.

what do you think I should take out to put Infiltration Lens in? I was thinking 3 would do.

I'm not fully aware of all your interactions within your deck but as a conservative guess maybe -1 of Student of Warfare -1 Soldier of the Pantheon ?

keep the student and take out another soldier

I'm liking this deck a lot. Maybe because I have only ever built white decks that were any good. I put together a ridiculous one drop only deck (except for 4x Honor of the Pure and by ridiculous, I mean mindless. Thing is, I keep winning with it. One up added for you. Please view my "masterpiece"

'a gentlemen's agreement, HAZAH!'

Aura of Silence sideboard and i'd consider Rebuff the Wicked for the main

Aura of Silence was in sideboard and didn't see much use. Rebuff the Wicked is an interesting card that i'll consider

April 27, 2014 4:23 p.m.

Rebuff the Wicked - I have never heard OF this card. Looks like a better Gods Willing to also protect against artifacts. Nice pull

Knight Exemplar ? Why is this not in here??

add 4x Leyline of Sanctity to the sideboard and add Loyal Pegasus and maybe Isamaru, Hound of Konda

May 23, 2014 12:59 a.m.

Red-Skull says... #18

Leyline is good but I like Aegis of the Gods better because it's a creature and I need a lot of creatures to win. Loyal Pegasus is an ehh opening hand sucks, If i'm gonna do a flying creature i'd rather do Cavalry Pegasus . Isamaru is cool but I cant stack them and they don't trigger Champion of the Parish . Oh and leyline is like 20 bucks a piece so a play set is a little pricey

May 23, 2014 1:16 a.m.

XTowelie says... #19

yeah I see but also loyal pegasus is one mana and swing's for 2 while cavalry is swinging for a depressing 1 but it your deck so do whatever you want.

May 23, 2014 1:18 a.m.

asasinater13 says... #20

having a one or two-of Leyline of Sanctity might be nice though, a lot of what you'll be avoiding with the aegis/leyline is burn which will have a much more difficult time removing an enchantment than they will a one-toughness creatures.

May 23, 2014 1:19 a.m.

asasinater13 says... #21

but that doesn't help the price of a single leyline

May 23, 2014 1:20 a.m.

Red-Skull says... #22

@ XTowelie the reason loyal pegasus is bad because at best he's a turn three attack. I need turn 2 attackers I jus feel he's too conditional. @ asasinater13 I'm thinking I might pick up one leyline and then having the 2 aegis's, I still want a decent amount of creatures to swing with.

XTowelie says... #23

Yeah that's true will good luck with your deck.

I'm curious why the Boros Elites over something like Precinct Captain ? It seems like you're not really going to get battalion that often, so it'll just end up being a 1/1.

May 31, 2014 4:43 a.m.

Red-Skull says... #25

@iniksbane I get the battalion very often actually. My opening hand usually consists of 3 1 drop creatures and 2 lands. I'll always play a 2/1 creature or Champion of the Perish turn one. Turn 2 play Boros Elite and another 1 drop. turn 3 swing for a potential 13 damage. The key with boros is not to play him on turn 1 because like you said he'd be a 1/1 when i attack on turn 2. Precinct Captain is a good card but i like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben better. And I'm trying to keep the number of 2 drop creatures to a minimum of 2.
