Thanx for the tips. :) Im almost done building it and i think ill stick to mono white.Khans seems like an aggro kind of block and i think blue won't be so helpful. Im putting in some m14 and rtr cards but not too many that ill replace at rotation. Also i think that Brimaz will be fairly easy to find and trade fore at my local game shop. I will probably have the deck play tested and up a bit after the m15 release. Ill provide a link and hopefully it'll be better than my other decks (I threw what i could together because my brother likes to make me build standard decks and edh decks quickly and he doesn't give me time to play test.) Spirit Bonds seems like a nice mana sink/Token maker

I am kind of new to Magic, and this is my first deck I have built, so thanks! After attending the M15 pre-release, I got 2 Preeminent Captain cards. It seems like it would fit well in this deck. Any thoughts?

Total soldier cards in deck: 7 AND not enough benefit for its high (for this deck) cost. Don't run.

I would be replacing Fiendslayer Paladin , so that would should give me total of 14 soldiers in the deck (including 3 Preeminent Captain cards. I think you might have missed a set in counting. You still might be right, though, with the cost for this deck. Since I have the cards I might give a try and see if it works for me. Thanks for the honest feedback!I also like your idea running Ajani Steadfast

After a bit of play testing I'm gonna try your mock-up list and see how it can work. Maybe trade for a nice m15 card like Ajani Steadfast . Whichever wins more games is gonna be my deck for Khans. (BTW don't get your hopes TOO high for dragon tribal because if u look up sarkhan's story dragons make no sense on tarkir)

zacgree Soldier tribal could be a thing, though it would look quite different than this deck. W/r soldier tribal with Brimaz, King of Oreskos , Boros Elite , Akroan Hoplite , Spark Trooper , etc.
TheRedDude You can try playing Ajani Steadfast , but honest;y I really don't like him. Planeswalkers abilities don't trigger heroic, at four mana he is a little slow and doesnt end the game with his +1 or -2. And it's ultimate isn't even built for an aggro deck, it's not what you want to be doing. Where as with Ajani, Caller of the Pride he has an immediate board presence here by immediately being able to give a creature evasion and a power boost, and often swing for the win out of nowhere. So you can test him, but I personally advise against it. Also, here is a final list for the heroic build I made a mock up of.
Also, why do you say that about sarkhan? His entire story line is closely interwoven with dragons from start to where we are now. Not to mention that wizards of the coast has already copywrited the name "Dragons of Tarkir' (presumably the second or third set of the Khans block)

Thank you so much! :) Btw went to release and traded for a Brimaz, King of Oreskos. I think that its a really good deck and that at my store, it may get Top 8.
Ok, so Sarkhan was born on a plane (Tarkir) where dragons had been hunted to extinction, so he had to travel elsewhere to find them. Dragons of Tarkir might be the first or ONLY set in the block with dragons, because that might be when Sarkhan comes home and summons more dragons.

I met with a lot of success with this deck, and it was a blast playing a white deck that wasn't mainboarding Banisher Priest and Banishing Light . However, I was wondering if you were planning on updating this deck to have more M15 cards in it. I looked at your Launch of Heroics and Herald of the Weenies templates, but they didn't have any M15 cards (with the exception of Sign in Blood in a sideboard).
Can I expect to still be competitive with this deck as it is, or do I need to make important changes for M15?

Also, I'd love to see what decks you'd recommend for someone who isn't concerned with sticking to a budget.

MetaMike M15 honestly brought this deck nothing worth adding, same for my MBA build. With no issues with budget I have many suggestions I could give, it just depends on your playstyle. I'll start with saying Brimaz, King of Oreskos is awesome for this build.

+1. Solid deck. To be fair though, I probably would have given it a +1 even it wasn't, purely because of the great reference in the description.

Love the deck! I'm a big Mono-white aggro player, and currently I'm playing around with a Mono-white splash green type of angle. Why not go with Citadel + Dromoka's Command by just splashing a little green with heaths? Did you find this was more damage/consistent?

Cummingsja1 Thanks man! I prefer mono white both for consistency and budget reasons. A green splash would be fine, I'm not sure Citadel Siege is a direction I would take but that's just me. If I were to splash it would probably be black for the man land, a bit of a warrior route, etc. But I like mono white, It's the classic ya know?
mainimzz96 Gideon is a house man! I wouldn't replace him for anything. Incredibly good.
Dabadoobop12 Thanks man, I appreciate it!

Love this! I just built a mono-white aggro deck (check it if you want, it's on my page), and this one is an inspiration for me!
Just a couple of suggestions: have you tried Swift Reckoning? Man, do I love that card.
Besides, the new white land, Sandstone Bridge, could be a nice addition.
October 10, 2015 7:20 p.m.
Wow. Absolutely love this. On tight budget so am deffo putting this together but without Gideon, Ally of Zendikar for now due to his current price, what would you suggest I replace him with until i save up the money to buy him??

JamestheJoo I mean...yeah, I got upvotes because my deck was doctor who themed. But thats not the only reason. Pair that with the fact that it was a successful homebrew in a standard environment in which Mono Black Devotion, Mono U Devotion and UW Control were all dominating the scene. Theres multiple reasons this deck was a success, and I'm quite proud of it and insist you dont sell it short.

TheRedDude Hey there! Glad to see someone is carrying white weenies over into Khans, since I'm not haha. I think the support is there, but the deck will look slightly different. I'm of the opinion that all creatures should be good on their own without the support of another card. That's why you see the only heroic card in my build is Fabled Hero . However, post rotation I believe white weenies will move to a heroic sort of strategy. Also, in addition to that, I think it is going to move towards U/W. I believe the deck looks strong and aggressive enough, and it has good evasion AND card draw. I threw together a mock up list here of what I think a strong build might look like.
4 Favored Hoplite
4 Hero of Iroas
4 Battlewise Hoplite
4 Eidolon of Countless Battles
4 Fabled Hero
2 Ephara, God of the Polis
4 Gods Willing
4 Aqueous Form
4 Ordeal of Thassa
2 Ordeal of Heliod
3 Ephara's Enlightenment
4 Mana Confluence
4 Temple of Enlightenment
9 Plains
4 Island
This build I've thrown together provides a lot of things I value in a good white weenie build. The addition of card draw is always a good thing, so Ordeal of Thassa and Ephara are great here. All the creatures have enough power on their own (ie a 2/2 for two mana) to make them worth playing in my book. With flying and unblockable, we have good evasion to push our damage through. Protection is present in the form of Gods Willing . This is what I see the future of white weenie being, IMO opinion. I feel it could be very strong, but not quite as strong as RTR/THS or INS/RTR white weenies. This list wouldn't be too expensive, either, with the money cards being your mana base. The deck would cost close to $100 dollars to build, $60 of that being your mana base. If you wished to spend a bit more on it improving it, Brimaz, King of Oreskos would be great here paired with Ephara, God of the Polis .
