pingpongball120 Half just because i was scared of the change, lol. The scry 1 is nice but a lot of the time i've found brave just works out better. The build ran fine the way it was originally built so i opted to keep it so.

Renounce the Guilds for problematic multicolored - I can see that being the SB, but have you thought about a swap or trying to find room for a two of Rest in Peace I would have thought it worthy of inclusion, effectively stops Whip of Erebos and quite a few other things working with the graveyard. Its probably a meta call though.

Glare of Heresy is really good call in the mirror match, and Last Breath is also well worth it in the mirror considering it hits Master of Waves and Nightveil Specter Both are good calls in the sideboard instead of Keening Apparition and are nice and cheap.

How often do you find Heliod actually helping you? I built this deck to playtest, and got frustrated whenever I drew him, and ended up sideboarded him for longer games. Instead I'm playing Cavalry Pegasus for extra evasion. How's Heliod doing for you?

foxesforsale I've considered taking him out many times. The one thing keeping me from doing so is that when i do drop him it's basically game over. That viligence is great, and in games that last longer he's given me a major board presence simply from dumping mana into his tokens. I'm still on the fence about him, but for the moment i've opted to keep him.

I rarely see Heliod come out at all when I play my deck. You might be right that it should be a sideboard card.

foxesforsale zaxinou Alright you too, then in that case what matches would he come in against? Control so he could be Dissolve d or Detention Sphere d? I just think he seems like a mainboard or not at all sorta card

Yeah I would keep him in the mainboard but I rarely see him at all and I miss him so...
January 12, 2014 6:30 p.m.
He possibly just belongs in a deck with Ajani's Chosen :P

Well his vigilance means he's good in any game where you have to play defensively for a while. I'd like to see him in a game against Red creature aggro so that once I've slowed the game down, I can start playing both defence and offence. Definitely not against control, as lets face it - you pretty much have to win that match up with your t1 and t2 drops and hope gods willing/brave the elements is around to protect those creatures from bounces or d-sphere.
Maybe I'll MB him as a one of, simply because I've drawn two of him before and it was devastating.

I know my white weenie deck is different to this (True Heroes are Enchanting, shameless self plug! XD), but it relies on the same concept and I agree with Dalektable. Heliod is definitely for the main board. His vigilance ability makes him so useful, and indestructability turns him into an excellent blocker against a big enemy. On top of that, his token making has helped me take control after board wipes and other situations till I could get re established and he has completely turned a losing situation around.
Plus he, and his tokens, are enchantments, which just adds to Ethereal Armor making it even better.

Quadsimotto As i said in the update he is definitely going to find a slot, i just can't afford to drop 44 dollars to buy two copies of him right now...I have no idea what i'd drop for him though...i'll face that problem when it comes

feyn_do_alduin why exactly do i need white control cards in a hyper-aggressive deck? Plus there are better options to deal with creatures honestly. Banisher Priest and Celestial Flare being two of them which are in the deck already.

Quadsimotto It did already get cleared along with a few others because i needed to clear comments anyways, anyways i accepted the suggestion. I am very well aware how good the card is, but as i stated in the update i can't afford to drop 44 dollars for a couple copies of him right now.
January 17, 2014 8:38 p.m.
I've noticed our decks are looking a lot more alike. :p. I'm liking the Fiendslayer Paladin
in here a lot, though that just maybe my favoritism to the card.
If you are still looking for help against control, I'd still suggest the Judge's Familiar . He sets verdict back a turn and with your enchantments, a single Ethereal Armor makes him a threat when you no longer wanna blow him up.
