Welcome to my commander deck featuring the glowing scroll artist, Kethis, the Hidden Hand

Let us start by breaking down the main Elf himself. A 3/4 for Abzan mana is pretty solid stats. His cheap CMC means it takes a good few casts before he becomes expensive to cast. He can block in the early game effectively then carry the game with his abilities late. Reducing Legendary spells by mana might not seem like a lot, but the deck is filled with so many Legends this will build up to so much 'ramp' over the course of the game. His 2nd ability is where Kethis really shines. Being able to recur threats over and over at the expense of 2 other Legend cards is very strong. Because of the combination of abilities, Kethis is relevant both early and late game. The additional bonus of this is Kethis isn't a wincon for the deck, he is the all-star support so the deck can function without him on the board.

Due to the synergies with Legendary cards, I tried to cram in as many effects that are tied to the card type so they can be either recurred or exiled when no longer required. Instead of going in depth about each card, I'll mention the top supporting cards before I go into win conditions.

Reki, History of Kamigawa - This card is bonkers in this deck. most of our cards are Legendary so this will draw a bunch of cards, keeping your hand full.
Masako the Humorless - Fantastic little combat trick that very few people expect.
Captain Sisayfoil - The original 'Legends matter' commander that probably needs little explanation. It's good.
Weatherlight - Conveniently crewed by Kethis, the Hidden Hand and will 99% of time find you a card.
Mageta the Lion/Urza's Ruinous Blast - Repeatable board wipes are always strong but beware, this will get you hated out of the game pretty fast. Thankfully you can exile them for political gain.
Glissa Sunseeker - A really interesting Artifact removal card (which I'd never heard of before I made this deck!). Again, repeatable with Kethis' ability unlike our instant removal spells.
Honor-Worn Shaku - Turns all our Legend cards into mana dorks. Card gets out of hand fast with a good board state.
Kamahl's Druidic Vow - I LOVE Genesis Wave and this is a repeatable Genesis Wave This will fill your board fast with so many targets to hit.

To further help Kethis' second ability, we run a 'self-mill' package to gets cards in the yard to bring back. I've included a couple of Dredge cards since Dredge is easily repeatable and keeps the engine going. Underrealm Lich is the all-star of this package as it gives us great card selection and is really difficult to remove outside of Exile. Usually you want at least one graveyard card going at a time as it makes the game run smoother for yourself.

So how do we win? Let's start by making our Legends huge! Heroes' Podium and Dragon Throne of Tarkir will absolutely get us there. With our big army we can either swing through, mill them out with Altar of Dementia or sac them with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord to ping everyone.

Some notable exclusion from the deck include:

Mindslaver - Not for me as a player. Locking someone out of the game isn't why I play.
Sol Ringfoil - Yes, this deck doesn't run a Sol Ring. It doesn't get Kethis, the Hidden Hand out faster and being a tri-coloured deck, I opted for stuff that makes coloured mana instead
Yawgmoth's Vile Offering - Exiles itself so not repeatable.
Helm of the Host - Never made it a turn cycle!
Skullbriar, the Walking Grave - If infinite combo is your jam, Skullbriar, the Walking Grave + Athreos, Shroud-Veiled + Altar of Dementia = infinite mill.

Thanks for checking out my deck. This deck has such great utility and there is usually a card for any situation. It's an absolute ball to play due to the size of the toolbox it has. If you like this deck feel free to give suggestions or check out my other decks below. Until next time!
