This deck looks to play multiple effects that whittle down everyone's hands while taking advantage of the cards it's discarding, whether through the madness mechanic or recursive mechanics such as flashback or simple reanimation effects. Additionally, it capitalizes on the cards discarded by our opponents by converting them into life with cards like Confessor or Sangromancer, and drawing cards with Geth's Grimoire and Waste Not.

Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim serves as an accessory to the deck, sacrificing some of the creatures we madness or reanimate into play so that we may later recur them, as well as sniping some problem permanents in the latter parts of the game if we maintain a high life-total.
