This is my first real try at a modern deck. I have not played in the format yet but would like to give it a shot. I have only been playing for a few years and am not aware of some of the older cards that may be a great fit for this deck. If you got any ideas please let me know about them. Also, any advise on the Modern Format would be awesome.

Edit 8/7/12:After a lot of playtesting the main deck on MTGO, I have settled into the following list. The singleton of Banefire is there to win against high counter decks or card removal (like Memrocide).

Edit 9/1/12: Removed Banefire from the main deck. While fun to hit someone for 30 damage, it was just not needed. I have updated the sideboard. Instead of going with the two most common sideboards, I am trying some different. I am hoping the sideboard will confuse people in game two. Let me know what your thoughts are.
