-2 Scavenging Ooze

+2 Soul Warden

Due to Banisher Priest and Oblivion Ring not letting anything touch the graveyard.sideboard Soulmender to swap out with Soul Warden when vs decks who don't really play many creatures.

That and late game still able to gain life to buff the Archangel of Thune s +1+1 counter ability.

-1 Sheltering Word

-1 Rhox Faithmender

+2 Pacifism to help stall for Archangel of Thune s

Those are just my thoughts :D

Hi mightymm1 and thanks VERY much for your comments and suggestions. :)

I really like your idea about Sideboarding Soulmender, because you're right... against decks with few creatures, he would be much more useful.

I'm curious why you suggested to remove the Scavenging Ooze. I just figured that early game, it would be more useful (in combat) than the Soul Warden. I could be wrong. I'd like to hear your thoughts on it.

And thanks for your Pacifism suggestion, as well. Definitely useful!

Wasn't sure if you wanted to keep your 1 drops on field till turn 3

except some early rush to get some great life gain in turn 4. with Rhox Faithmender and fend off there low drops with

Pacifism , Oblivion Ring , Banisher Priest or were willing to trade creatures to get some guys in your grave.

Scavenging Ooze is a great card but with the white detain and exile provided in the deck not sure if he would be used to his full potential compared if you ran red/green or green/black.

But still think hes got a place in the deck can see him getting huge.

Thanks, mightymm1, you bring up a good point. He (the Scavenging Ooze) is really only useful if he has graves to feed from!

I'm wondering if perhaps a Fleecemane Lion would be better suited. Not only is he a pretty good 2-drop, but if/when he becomes monstrous, he's even more useful.

yea Fleecemane Lion fits decently and fills in the two drop slot

at the very least will be a target for kill/burn.

Wasting there spells no one wants one of them monstrous.

If you are using tokens and even if you aren't, Rootborn Defenses is a great card. There are a lot of white theros cards that provide protection too. I suggest you look into those, they are really solid.

Much appreciated, Magiclover318

I was thinking I might sideboard in your suggestion of Rootborn Defense and also Planar Cleansing. It's expensive mana, but if I could have enough on a turn to cast RD before PC I will love the expression on my opponent's face. ;)

Also somebody suggested Kitchen Finks.1. Block with Kitchen Finks2. They probably will die.3. They go to my graveyard and return with a -1/-1.4. They give me life, triggering Archangel of Thune.5. That gives them +1/+1, making them +0/+0.6. Rinse and repeat. ;)
