Keep it simple stupid, thats the moto of this deck. The idea is to win by swinging in with vampires, and we do this several ways.
Keep your opponents board sparse with spot removal and bounces. Counter spells that would put you on tilt. Force them to sack creatures with
Desecration Demon
. Then when your feeling good, transform Bloodline Keeper
and swarm your opponents.
The plan is simple, but effective. The sideboard is where things get interesting.
Dissipate
and Witchbane Orb are on the sideboard for opponents slinging lots of spells.
Grafdigger's Cage
is a great anti-undying and anti-flashback.
Victim of the night can replace
Murder
if your facing non-vamp, not-wolves, or non-zombies. It can also help if you need more removal.
Mutilate is great agains tokens, especially if you have a Blood Artist or two out.
Finally I would like to talk about Lazav, Dimir Mastermind. If your opponent is rocking some crazy creature, add Lazav, Dimir Mastermind in and straight up
Murder
it. Now Lazav can swing and make your opponents lives miserable. The fun part of this comes in if you also have
Nightveil Specter
. If you manage to steal some opponents land with the specter, you can also have Lazav use the activated abilities of your opponents creatures...
This is very much a work in progress. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Enjoy!
