Definitely not, there are tons of better removal spells in the deck already. Is there something Im missing about why that might be good or what?

I usually prefer it over Maelstrom Pulse because it can hit land and it can be a 3/3 when needed. Maelstrom Pulse does deal with tokens though. I guess it really just comes down to preference.

I like it over Putrefy as an instant speed anything killer, but preference indeed

I will consider it, since it can turn a useless land into a creep in addition to being removal. I don't like giving my opponents creeps though. I might replace the 2nd pulse in SB with beast within.

The new Murderous Cut would be good as a 1-of in most modern and Legacy black decks. Perhaps as a replacement to Victim of Night once the new set comes out?

why would that be good here? I need a yard for goyf. I think I prefer victim. I have been considering replacing it with tragic slip though.

It's an unconditional removal, and even with goyfs you'd likely have 5+ cards in the yard after turn 3, meaning that anytime after then you'd have multiples of card types that you can use for the delve. Even if you pay 2 actual mana to cast it, look how it compares to Victim then at the same cmc in that instance. Its definatly the type of card that people will underestimate at first. That being said, I'd rather use Victim than Tragic Slip in a competitive build, even though Slip is one of my favorite cards from a flavor standpoint ;)

I think Slaughter Pact is still the go to creature killer for tapout decks. Murderous Cut will likely see a good amount of draft favoritism in standard but likely not outside of the format

Maybe as a placeholder until you can get Dark Confidant you could play with some Courser of Kruphix . I don't know how well it will do though. It's just something i've begun to see more people playing with, even a couple trying it out in Legacy decks. I'm going to try testing it out myself in some of my decks to see how it performs.

I like the deck man, I play something similar. +1. How does Smallpox work for you? Is that mainly to fill up the yard for Goyf or does it really work as great removal in spite of its drawbacks?

kescher smallpox does wonders turn 2 when your on the play, after a thoughtseize t1 the opponent is already in a tight spot

Glad you decided to come back to this. Consider swapping Putrefy for a Hero's Downfall specifically for Nahari. She can be hard to deal with using on board threats.

Nice, love the deck. Pretty hefty on the price though. +1
