Having noticed that Rancor can stack the +2 for multiple instances, I could see running it that way saturnosring. I'll have to test it out!

Thanks Liscom!
This is one of my more scary Pauper decks, and it hits strong and fast enough with good counters that it can hold its own in other formats, despite being all common cards.
Best part is the price!

Thank you TheSurgeon!
I'm really happy with it. Enough so that I actually ordered it to have one of my very own!

Very nice!
If you like infect, check out my midrange budget Pathogen: "I", deck and my tourney infect deck, Under the Skin.
Throw me a +1 if you like what you see!
Play on!

Bonesplitter, Apostle's Blessing, and Groundswell seem like better options than ramp.

Lanzo493 I've found that the little bit of ramp from Wild Growth really makes a difference for the early win.
On the other hand, I'm going to play it through a few times running Apostle's Blessing instead of Gruesome Deformity and Groundswell instead of Eternal Thirst. Both those seem to fit the speed of the deck really well.
I'm still considering Bonesplitter, I can see some serious upsides to combining that with Rancor early on.
Thanks for the suggestions!

what about Utopia Sprawl instead of Abundant Growth? tap for two manas, and you can fix your need for more Green or Black.

Antoniobizarro in the earliest version of this deck, I ran Utopia Sprawl as well. Abundant Growth isn't there just to fix mana colors, but also gives me a small draw boost, which has proven essential.
I've swapped it back and forth with Wild Growth a few times though, and find they work similar enough.
Thanks for the suggestion though!

Thanks again Lanzo493!
Groundswell certainly has a place in this deck. The cost of Apostle's Blessing hurts a bit too much, though I might adjust it into my sideboard.
I'll be swapping Eternal Thirst for Groundswell, that's for sure.
Great suggestion!

If I were to swap out wild growth for something comparative, would this be somewhat competitive for modern? Plus one btw
November 14, 2015 11:13 a.m.
I don't know about competitive pauper much. I did do some research though. Apparently Hornet Sting is a very good sideboard card to kill a lot of pauper creatures (and good in mirror matches). Also, Gitaxian Probe should be in every pauper infect deck because it lets you see if your opponent has any tricks up their sleeve. If they don't, you know you can go all in for the kill.

Jparson I've played against a couple Modern decks with this as-is, and that power gap hits really hard after about turn 5 or so.
If you're going up against one, luck has to be on your side to get a good opening hand.
I see your point about Gitaxian Probe, Lanzo493, but those 2 lives are still more than I'm willing to pay. If they have nasty tricks, it's not going to help me counter them.

I think Virulent Wound is a better alternative to Hornet Sting.
Though I have a lot of different removals. Shrivel followed by Unearth is amusing too.

I'd play this, maybe replacing Unearth with Undying Evil. I like the instant speed reaction to saving a creature and giving it a counter. Same cost, still in budget too.

Wow! ScruffySpydr, that's a fantastic idea!
Thanks for the suggestion, I really like that.
No summoning sickness, and it can be used on the Corpse Curs!
November 19, 2015 5:51 p.m.
Actually, it will have summoning sickness. In order for a creature to not have summoning sickness you would have had to continuously control it since the beginning of the turn. With undying it leaves play, so you haven't continuously controlled it. Thus, a very complicated way of explaining summoning sickness.

Lanzo493, yes, I understand that, but I was thinking of them dying in my opponents turn, or on the turn they attack, hitting them with Undying Evil, and they're back with a +1/+1, then next turn they're ready to attack again.
With Unearth, they die in my previous turn, or my opponent's turn, and I bring them back in my pre-combat main phase, and they have to sit it out.
In both cases they have summoning sickness, but the timing is much better with Undying Evil. (And who can complain about a +1/+1 ?)
The nasty bit is that since they do leave play and then return, it will trigger the Corpse Curs ability, so I can lose two creatures in one turn and bring them right back. All that for !

That's right! Let me know how play testing goes.
November 19, 2015 6:22 p.m.
That makes a lot more sense in context. It's also pretty brutal, especially considering when you get your creature back you probably just got your opponent to waste a burn spell or creature blocking it. 3 for 1 right there.

Panzerforge says... #25
Oh wow, and Grim Affliction just got better too...
Undying creature gets a further +1/+1
Target Opponent creature gets 2x -1/-1
Opponents with poison counters get +1 poison counter
Nice.

Hi Panzerforge!
I think you could remove an Unearth and add another Rancor. You are already running 4 cards for returning creatures from the graveyard.
I would leave the third Unearth in the sideboard if the other player runs a lot of removals or counterspells.
