Sideboard

This deck is a marriage between the Atarka Red decks that are currently one of the pillars of Standard and a token flood deck. The deck utilizes Impact Tremors to add more points of damage to the face to do things you would normally do anyway. So far, it has consistently won. 16-6 so far.

After a few weeks off from playing this deck and magic in general, I picked it back up again for regular TNM at Haunted. I was facing a slightly different meta with the emergence of Esper Dragons as a tier 1 deck and the resurgence of the Abzan decks. I made a few changes going in, namely switching out a Lightning Strike and a Wild Slash for the third Goblin Rabblemaster and a third Impact Tremors. I also switched up the sideboard a bit by taking out Chandra, Pyromaster among other things and adding in another Roast and a Rending Volley. The deck worked flawlessly this go around, and I won the tournament by only losing 1 game.

2-0 vs Esper Dragons

He had some problems getting his dragons to show up even with multiple Anticipates and Dig Through Time. In the end both games Impact Tremors did him in.

2-0 vs R/B Dash

I got going way too quick for him, I think I saw three creatures from him between the two games we played.

2-1 vs Bant Heroic

Both games that I won I easily outraced him and game 3 Rending Volley proved its' worth to me. The game that I lost was very close even though I kept a hand that I absolutely shouldn't have.

2-0 vs Abzan Aggro

Game 1 I won on turn 4 and Game 2 came down to the wire with me winning to a top-decked Hordeling Outburst with an Impact Tremors on the field. That to spite his Virulent Plague, two monstrous Fleecemane Lions and Siege Rhino.

4-0 tournament -- 16-6 total
