So having a look over the list again, the things I notice the most are:
you're relying almost entirely on Edric for card advantage. While you can lean heavily on him, I still think it's worth including additional support. You have Sylvan Library but I would recommend adding Mystic Remora. You should also be running Green Sun's Zenith. You could also consider Glimpse of Nature.
You don't have many ways at all of buffing your creatures. Most of the time they'll only be 1/1s. I would recommend adding a Nissa, Voice of Zendikar to help with this. You could easily replace Essence Warden with it. I don't think warden is very good here.
You don't have a fallback if your board gets wiped. You could spend all this time spewing out creatures and one good wrath can leave you with no board state and potentially no hand. I would recommend adding a Creeping Renaissance to the deck. It lets you bounce back after a wrath. Mystical Tutor is good too - it gets it as well as stuff like Notorious Throng.
also, of the cards in your maybeboard I think are worth getting 9specifically for this deck):
Arcane Denial, Botanical Sanctum, Breeding Pool, City of Brass, Fauna Shaman, Force of Will, Gemstone Caverns, Mana Confluence, Spell Pierce and Survival of the Fittest.
There are others too (like Mana Crypt which is always good) but Those are the ones I would be trying the hardest to make space for.

I think Abjure is better than counterspell in edric and definitly better than spell pierce.
my list is here if you want to take a look http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/tier-1-edrics-small-person-society/

HezTheGod I took a quick peek at your list. If you're looking at playing it in a top competitive meta, It needs a lot of work.
If you want to talk about competitive Edric, you can DM me. Or better yet, join the cEDH discord community.
Honesty though it's a good high tier casual deck and you have a good foundation laid out for it to be competitive. Mostly need to trim the fat.

I feel like you could use some more efficient ways to close out the game than just beating down with 1/1s. Overrun, Triumph of the Hordes, Craterhoof Behemoth, Thunderfoot Baloth. And Lightning Greaves to protect Edric seems important.

CharonSquared those are all very casual build suggestions. You don't need to pump weenies in a competitive Edric build because once you start chaining extra turns, you've already won. As for greaves, it's a waste of a slot in competitive edh because you're much better off playing a piece of interaction. If what I'm saying doesn't make sense, you should visit the competitive edh reddit or discord.

Legeneds You're thinking of 1v1 EDH. In multi, Edric is not banned.

Shouldn't you be playing the mass infect spell? I don't think your deck does really anything

Coming over from Simon's list, whats the tech behind Merfolk Spy? I feel like there are better flyers that you guys have cut but leave this guy in? Is it just that he is a 1 drop Rogue?

SivartusWe NEVER see a pod without blue in cEDH so Spy can get through. The fact that it's a rogue is a bonus but what's really useful is the random information it reveals to the table about the blue player's hand. The only flyer That I don't play which I feel deserves a slot is Jace's phantasm. There are no other cost efficient flyers that are better in these slots.

Have you considered running Storm Crow? Not only is it magics most broken card, it's also almost a donger.

Not sure if this has been suggested before, but could Beacon of Tomorrows work well in this list? It costs a million mana, but it shuffles in after each usage, which means that theoretically if you chain turns and keep drawing cards, you could draw back into and recast it when you're going off.

Rogue_Toaster Thanks for the suggestion!!! Chemtails and I have discussed this card while writing the primer and we came to the conclusions that it costs a little much and that we would rather it go to the graveyard.

just wanted to say, I'm looking forward to the primer, and I don't think the deck is insane but I think you've done insane things. Great stuff dude, I'm proud

Hi any thoughts on Throne of the God-Pharaoh?
Since ur be attacking lots while chaining extra turn spells.

dhoby87 because we chain extra turns, there's no need for any extra damage effects. While chaining the turns, we play more creatures and snowball until we hit notorious throng once or twice. Then we just win. The deck is very slot tight, every card is there for a reason and doing more damage just doesnt need to happen. Once resolving notorious throng once or twice the table usually scoops.

It may look stupid but i have a question : at what point do you stop drawing?
I was playing a similar deck with Edric when i played Natorious Thong and created 11 faeries. If i kept drawing i would have decked myself and since i (and you neighter) rn lab maniac.. i was wondering how you deal with it ?

zepample Hey there! we usually don't have any issues in that department. Basically, If you resolve Throng once or twice, the table usually scoops. But if they really want you to play it out, stop drawing when you feel comfortable with the amount of recursion/warps/counterspells in your hand.

Why run Personal Tutor over Mystical Tutor... I understand you're not running instants to fetch with it but it's instant speed and does the exact same thing therefore it's just better.

Overall I really like it. I think that there are a few small changes tha you could make but on the whole the theme is solid.
Striaght out, you need a Fauna Shaman / Survival of the Fittest / both. Considering that Champion of Lambholt / Craterhoof Behemoth are your primay win conditions, you need a consistent way of fetching them.
Your counterspell suite needs a bit of work as well. Arcane Denial, Muddle the Mixture and possible Dispel should be in here. they help keep Edric alive.
The other stuff I would include is Priest of Titania to help get your craterhoof down since you have a lot of elves. You could also look at running Elvish Archdruid as he gives an anthem too.
You should be running Sylvan Library and possibly Mystic Remora. It's important to have early game card advantage seperate to your commander and there two can be super aggressive. Remora is good in that it either slows your opponent down or feeds you cards. Both choices are good. You don't play it turn 1 but a turn 3 play is solid. Then just pay the upkeep once or maybe twice and ditch it once you have gotten value.
You don't need to be running Spellbook, it's waste of a card here. even if you're limited to 7 cards, just pick the 7 best.
