Maybeboard

An unconventional take on a zombie deck, Stitcher Geralf both creates big zombies, and provides future fodder for Back from the Brink (for your creatures), or - better yet - the Mimic Vat, which can target creatures in any player's graveyard.

As of right now, there are twelve (12!) counter-spells of some shape or form:

  1. Cryptic Command
  2. Desertion
  3. Dissipate
  4. Draining Whelk
  5. Hinder
  6. Muddle the Mixture
  7. Power Sink
  8. Rewind
  9. Spelljack
  10. Spell Burst
  11. Spell Crumple
  12. Swan Song

While some are multi-modal, the idea behind having so many is to disrupt other deck's infinite combos. I play the "political game" while I am wearing my Blue player hat, and will usually ask the table's opinion if I cannot identify a combo piece out of hand. Yes, yes...I know some people frown at playing politics, but Commander/EDH is a casual format for this kind of play - if one does not want to play politics, stick with the sanctioned formats.

Cryptoplasm provides a great way to get another Deep-Sea Kraken in play if I am not able to hit the Deep-Sea Kraken with a kicked Rite of Replication, which is always good for a table scoop.

One of the more interesting cards in the deck is the Neurok Stealthsuit...as long as I keep two islands open, the other players never know if I have an actually Counterspell in hand, or simply plan on shifting the Neurok Stealthsuit to any creature they target.

While I would like to think I have my bases covered, the only certainty I can have is that I did miss something...please feel free to leave any and all productive comments and criticisms.
