The #1 Michiko Konda deck on TappedOut!

Let's be honest: mono-white stinks. Voltron and weenies are my two least favortie archetypes so finding something interesting in mono-white was difficult. As a Dimir player at heart, the thought of people sac'ing permanents to attack me sounded delicious. Thus...MICHIKO!

I wanted to try something different with this deck so I decided to go with the troll victory with Felidar Sovereign, Test of Endurance (as well as Approach of the Second Sun). We also have a huge recursion package to get them back when they're inevitably wiped.

If you like what you see, UPVOTE! . If not, let me know what you'd change.

Step 1 = Gain life and set up recursion

You'll begin the game setting up for your win cons, bringing out your soul sisters and slowly gaining life.

Step 2 = Stall

The midgame will see you start to play your commander and discourage people from attacking you. At any table, there should be bigger threats than you that the table can help team up on to keep in check. With this breathing room, you can also tutor for win cons.

Step 3 = Win with Felidar Sovereign/Test of Endurance/Approach of the Second Sun

The endgame finds us playing one of our main win cons, hopefully with something like Angelic Renewal on the board or Second Sunrise in hand with enough mana. There's a fantastic chance that it gets removed the first time, but that's why we have such a large recursion package.

A well protected Felidar Sovereign with 50 well protected life for a turn 5 win:

Turn 1 = Land, Sol Ring, Lightning Greaves

Turn 2 = Land, Angelic Renewal, Island Sanctuary

Turn 3 = Radiant Fountain, Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, Survival Cache

Turn 4 = Seraph Sanctuary, Felidar Sovereign

Turn 5 = Win

Non-basic lands like Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and Emeria, The Sky Ruin are a luxury that can be replaced with basic Plains. Land Tax can take a hike, as can some of our nice utility creatures like Darien, King of Kjeldor and Eight-and-a-Half-Tails. Stick with angel replacements like Aegis Angel or Guardian of the Gateless.

If money is no object:

There's nothing on theme that can really be upgraded with the exception of Forcefield, but better angels like Linvala, Keeper of Silence or Archangel of Thune are always nice. If that's the case, then adding a couple of swords would also work, though at some point it ends up being a whole different deck that should have an angel commander.

I love the challenge of building really cheap decks. This is how the majority of my real life decks start out and then I improve them over time.
