The Milling
Startled Awake
will mill your opponent's library for 13 alone. If combined with 2 Fraying Sanitys, it will mill 52 cards.
Compelling Argument mills for 5 cards and allows for cycling to draw something else.
Next we have Fraying Sanity, this card will make your opponent lose cards from library for cards hitting the graveyard from anywhere. So discarding, sacrificing, creatures dieing and of coarse cards from their library.
Ipnu Rivulet helps you to finish a game by sacrificing deserts (Ipnu Rivulet and
Desert of the Mindful
) for your opponent to mill 4 each time. Added with Fraying Sanity for even better effects.
Deserts
We are running two deserts (Ipnu Rivulet and
Desert of the Mindful
), these will be used to mill your opponent.
Hour of Promise gets you more land and we will be looking to get deserts. This way we get an Ipnu Rivulet and fodder that can start more milling. You also most likely already have one desert on the field by the time you cast Hour of Promise, which means that you get 2 2/2 zombies when it finishes resolving.
Mana Production
Assisting us with acquiring extra mana, we have Hour of Promise and Weirding Wood.
Weiring wood accelerates your mana production and gives you a clue token you can sacrifice later to draw a card.
Control
Censor some of the early game and cycle later.
Unsummon their creatures to help you to stay alive. You can also Unsummon a
Persistent Nightmare
to recast it after you used it to block one of their creatures.
Winds of Rebuke is very much like Unsummon but you now get some of their cards milled.
Haze of Pollen may not be "control" but it prevents you from dieing for a turn.
Cycling
You have cards that aren't helping you? Cycle them away!
Haze of Pollen, Censor,
Desert of the Mindful
, Compelling Argument, and Hieroglyphic Illumination can all be cycled away for different cards. Hieroglyphic Illumination can also be cast late game for even more cards.
Other
Lastly, we highlight Geier Reach Sanitarium. This card helps you to go through your deck and your opponent's. Remember that if you have a Fraying Sanity out, they lose two total cards, one from drawing and the other from Fraying Sanity due to the discard.
