Well firstly against Anger of the Gods there are several cards that can help you- Grim Haruspex is great as it is a creature and allows you to draw more gas -Ajani's Presence this is a heroic trigger and also stops everything but Bile Blight
Spiteful Returned is a great card in an agro deck as it burns every time you attack, even if it is into a caryatid. plus it can trigger heroic if its bestowed.
Godsend is not the most efficient card to play even as a 1 of. Its just asking to slow you down. the only thing it does do is give devotion. Personally I would rather plug more creatures though
I also wouldnt play Return to the Ranks its a good card but I only see it being good if cards coming from the Graveyard have ETB triggers .The number of cards you play in the removal will depend on other decks, but banishing light is a solid removal that fuels devotion. Master of the Feast is also a great card to devotion that is also very strong.
Guess you just need to test it out and see how it goes

Thanks for all the suggestions, i need to move Godsend to the side against mono-green devotion.
Master of the Feast might go in, but i'm not sure what to cut.
Idk about Grim Haruspex it could work, maybe as 1 or 2, just as that, if they Anger of the Gods would give a lot of draw. I'll put it in the side.
I might replace one of the instants for Ajani's Presence

Just as a note, you wouldn't draw any cards with Grim Haruspex if they used Anger of the Gods because your creatures would be exiled instead of dying (being put in the graveyard).
Oh, and the deck looks really fun to play! +1

Spirit of the Labyrinth stops Master of the Feast s drawback from happening.
She also cancels out Grim Haruspex though
September 30, 2014 7:17 p.m.
No Spirit does not stop the downside of Master. Read both cards.
September 30, 2014 7:53 p.m.
Well I'd say it does if you think about it.
If they've already drawn on their upkeep, they won't draw on their draw step.
Netting them one card per turn. Whereas Feasts drawback is that they net 2 cards per turn.
September 30, 2014 7:57 p.m.
They draw the card from Master on YOUR turn not their turn. They still get to draw a card on your upkeep, and on their own turn. Read the cards.

I like this deck. I made a similar deck leaning more towards an enchantment deck. Check out Enchanting Doom.

Why are you so thirsty for up votes? If you want one so badly go upvote my Suicidal Warriors Asylum (SWA) deck
October 7, 2014 9:44 p.m.
I'm not thirsty for upvotes. I just hate people who say "here, check out my deck, Bla Bla." and don't bother to +1.
I'm looking for feedback and i test my decks. I make these so the community can check them out, test them and have fun with them. I attempt to perfect the deck and the upvotes and comments show that people appreciate my time and effort put into the deck. That description/ rundown took 30 minutes alone.

As did mine. When I said "check out my deck," it was mainly for the same reasons, but also to try and give you ideas to improve your deck. I up voted... Happy?

Love the low CMC and the value you get for it. It makes me almost want to rethink my tribal warrior theme: I am the Warrior.... I really want to make warriors work, but so much of what I want in my deck doesn't fit with tribal. eh... anyway... Nice deck! +1 from me.

You're going the wrong way! Five-color's the way to go.
But anyways, I'd recommend using Dictate of Heliod or Dictate of Erebos in place of either Defiant Strike or Thoughtseize .
While I understand that 4 damage and card draw is good, Dictate of Heliod would let Tormented Hero deal 4 damage while giving it extra survivability. On Brimaz, you'd get bonus FIVE damage.
Thoughtsieze can help a lot, but I think having more Athreos and Dictate of Erebos would be more effective; They kill your creatures, they have to get rid of their own. If they don't pay 3 life after that, your creature comes back. Considering the size and amount of creatures you have, it might work better.

You really don't get this deck idea do you. Do you think i want to Pain Seer into 5 damage. The idea is to keep the CMC low, so i don't kill myself.
Defiant Strike allows that extra damage to buff up and kill something, and the card draw is an added bonus for white.
Thoughtseize allows the looking at my opponent's hand to take threats, such as Siege Rhino , Sorin, Solemn Visitor , Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker , Dissolve , etc. Why would i pass that up to make an opponent sac a creature, or +2/+2. The dictates are not that great...
Athreos is a singleton, and hardly the focus of this deck, so why would i suddenly shift focus to an entirely different deck idea?
btw, 5 color is possibly the worst idea. Ever. I've seen four color decks work, but never a 5 color deck outside of commander.

Brimaz, King of Oreskos would be a great addition I feel and before you complain about price tag it budget then feel free to complain also Elspeth would help against storm breath her -3 works miracles against storm breath I also don't understand why you're running the colors with the best removal in the format and you're not running more of it such as Devouring Light or Banishing Light or Utter End
October 27, 2014 5:19 p.m.
A. To keep the curve low
b. the removal is slow, when i am winning t4, and have no need to cast Utter End
c. Devouring Light isn't that great, and taps out my creatures, which are tapped because i attacked with them...
did you even read the decklist? i have 3x Brimaz, King of Oreskos running already...

For anyone viewing this deck, please refer to this
DO NOT SUGGEST CARDS W/ CMC 5 OR UP!!!
The reason for this is that with 21 lands, this deck will almost never be able to cast these cards, therefor making them useless
Now, for my suggestions.
Master of the Feast is not very good in standard right now. The card advantage is just to much for this deck, allowing the opponent to find that card that they need. I think you should replace all of them with Herald of Torment , this late game threat and early game powerplayer is just to good.
Second, I think disowned ancestor is the side is not useful. A much better card against aggro and burn is Mortal's Ardor . This life that this card gains is insanely good. I would replace Ajani's Presence with it and put 2 in the side, kicking out 3 ancestors and adding 1 Aegis of the Gods .
This deck is powerful, and thanks for giving me credit!
October 27, 2014 5:52 p.m.
Thanks for those suggestions and the needed warning.
Herald of Torment will probably find its way in somewhere. It is a great card, and i either will board it to side out Master of the Feast where he is inapplicable, or mainboard it and replace something else.
Mortal's Ardor is a fabulous card, and i might place a few main board. It fits really well with Seeker of the Way because it gives two guys lifelink. Suddenly, attacking for 6 with Brimaz, King of Oreskos and Seeker of the Way becomes 8 with both having lifelink, but not the cat, or 10 with a defiant strike, and so on.
so, what do you think of the main boarded Seeker of the Way and should i find room for Pain Seer
