Why not Lightning BoltMTG Card: Lightning Bolt over Galvanic BlastMTG Card: Galvanic Blast? Or Rift BoltMTG Card: Rift Bolt...

A sideboard would be helpful too. Gutteral Response (sp?) is good. Some artifact and graveyard hate ala Smash to Smitherines (sp?), Tormod's CryptMTG Card: Tormod's Crypt, Relic of ProgenitusMTG Card: Relic of Progenitus, and Grafdigger's CageMTG Card: Grafdigger's Cage. Red Sun's Zenith MTG Card: Red Sun's Zenith is great to exile stuff. SlagstormMTG Card: Slagstorm is a sweet boardsweep. Corrosive GaleMTG Card: Corrosive Gale for flyers...

I like the suggestions, but I'd like to keep this deck Standard. Because I don't anticipate getting meaningful amounts of land, I'm shying away from Fireball and its hundred knock-offs. If I do get a Fireball, it will probably be Bonfire of the Damned MTG Card: Bonfire of the Damned as it is both a one-sided Slagstorm for X and a Fireball.

Consider (like I am for my goblins) Pillar of FlameMTG Card: Pillar of Flame over galvanic blast.

Agreed. Pulled a couple Pillar of FlameMTG Card: Pillar of Flame at my Pre-releases and was quite impressed with them. I think I will enjoy Red Sun's Zenith MTG Card: Red Sun's Zenith for 2 at only 1 mana. Thanks for the idea, Ohthenoises.

I like this, it reminds me of Ohthenoises's Boom goes the goblin!. +1

Funny, we typed out our messages at the same time Ohthenoises.

Not surprised it reminded you of Boom goes the goblin!. I took his decklist and swapped cards around to better fit my preferences, play style, and budget.

@Minousmancer yea he asked if he could take the decklist. Told him that I'm sure I wasn't the first to make this deck so feel free lol.

I think that rocks, too funny.

Have either of you thought about adding: Burn at the StakeMTG Card: Burn at the Stake?

April 28, 2012 9:28 p.m.

Tinselteeth says... #11

It looks nice and shiny, but by the time I have the mana up for it, my board will be fairly empty one way or another. Also, I want to keep 4 CMC as my highest cost, excluding the Thunderous WrathMTG Card: Thunderous Wrath I plan on pulling Miracles out of. Burn at the StakeMTG Card: Burn at the Stake looks like it would work well in my Modern deck (Mogg War MarshalMTG Card: Mogg War Marshal says HAI!), but not so much in this.

I look at it as this. If its turn 5-6 I shouldhave used approx 2 goblins as grenade fodder. If not they probably have died from swinging into blockers.

Tinselteeth says... #13

Usually, I end up using one goblin as grenade fodder and getting a Thunderous miracle and/or Reverberate. The rest get thrown under the bus, especially the Hellrider bus.

maybe Krenko's Command but if not take out 2 Reverberate and replace with 2 Vexing Devil It just is too good of a card not to have a playset of

Pigsfly Reverberate is one of my win-cons. I might be willing to bump it down to a 3-set, but not a 2-set. As for Krenko's Command , Mogg War Marshal seems to do well as a Goblin generator already. Ideally, I can get 3 useful goblins out of him: the War Marshal himself in addition to his 2 flunkies.

Goblin King would absolutely destroy opponents when you have Blood Moon on the field. :)

Tinselteeth says... #17

Ahh yes, I forgot about the King. And I might even already have a 3-set for the sideboard!
