This deck would be wrecked by Blood Moon since you have no basic lands

Now that I look at it I see that too... Any ideas on a fix besides throwing in a few basic lands?

No problem, I just am fairly new to modern, but control, affinity(artifacts), pod and blood moon are the top 4 decks right now I would say

well Golgari Charm can hopefully at least damage affinity, along with Stony Silence and Revoke Existence . Control match up is always tough for me. For pod it's Path to Exile , Revoke Existence , and possibly Rest in Peace . For blood moon, all I can really do is run some Revoke Existence s and hope for the best I suppose.

For pod, control and storm decks you want Grafdigger's Cage

I am not a huge fan of Mayor of Avabruck  Flip because your opponents can flip it or if you top-deck a land it will flip. Dark Confidant is also a human so I would grab 4 of them.

I would run confidant, however, I have most of these cards already, and confidant are a bit out of my price range. And while yes, mayor can flip, I don't mind too much as he then is a 3/3 body that drops wolves.

Definitely run Grim Haruspex mainboard. Abrupt Decay , Eternal Witness , Path to Exile , maybe Qasali Pridemage or something to help against twin and affinity first game.

@BaconSamurai Thank you for all the comments! I will definitely consider Abrupt Decay and Eternal Witness ]. However, Path to Exile I have found to hinder more than help. More often than not, giving them a land helps to speed up their drops and accelerate past me, even at the cost of a creature. Qasali Pridemage is definitely a possibility on sideboard. Thank you once again for all the suggestions!

While yes, Path to Exile does sometimes hinder you, it really is an auto include for all white decks.

What about Mikaeus, the Lunarch , its a human an pumps counters in other creatures you control. Also Fiend Hunter is so good!

Mikaeus, the Lunarch is too slow most of the time I've found, on the turns I'd want to play him, I usually have something else to play that helps my board presence more. Fiend Hunter is definitely a solid, however, I am tight on room and there are usually better creatures I could be playing during those turns. Thank you for the suggestions though! If anything else pops up, let me know if it seems good.

Mentor of the Meek is also good cause it gives you card advantage.. other than that not right now

First off, not to be mean or condescending, card draw and card advantage are two different things. Both have to do with resources, however, one is a resource, while the other has to do with the amount of resources. I.e. I draw 3 cards, that's card draw. If my opponent uses a 3 mana spell to counter my one mana creature, that's card advantage. They are using more resources than I am at the time. I hope that helps clear it up a bit :)

On Mentor of the Meek , he is definitely a good source of draw power, however, he also takes up many of the turns where I have more efficient creatures to play: Athreos, God of Passage , Anafenza, the Foremost , Archetype of Courage , etc. In addition, he requires mana to be useful, and I have very few to spare with only 21 lands. If I needed more card draw, I would use Grim Haruspex as my deck continually uses deaths or sacrificing to create card advantage.

Thanks for the suggestion! Remember to throw up anything else if you think it looks good.

why Doomed Traveler ? I get that it's a 1 mana human and all but the card doesn't really have an impact on the game.

September 29, 2014 4:11 p.m.

boon1313 says... #20

No, but when he dies, with all my death triggers, he will leave too many threats for such a small body.

September 29, 2014 4:29 p.m.

Blackprince says... #21

The reason why i called it advantage is while your opponents hands goes down yours will stay the same an your get further through your deck which is also a advantage cause you are able to continuously able drop more threats. I see it as a advantage but just my opinion.. I understand why its different thanks. I guess i wasn't clear by what i was meaning. My bad. i also see what you mean by you don't have enough mana available sense you're playing only 21 lands. Thraben Doomsayer is interesting but its also a little slow

I thought if him too, and for him to work, I need a small life total, which will give me a boost that might win the game.. but I'd have to be near dead, and any opponents removal can stop him. The token effect is good, but as you said, it's just too slow to be of any help. Thanks again for the suggestions!
