my friend played a similar deck last fnm and he did pretty good. the only thing i would recommend is a Hornet Nest you can Chord of Calling for six get a Hornet Nest and block their big creature. not only is their creature unexpectedly blocked but then you have a lot of 1/1 flyers with deathtouch. also, +1 this deck is cool

Less temples more citadels. I also don't care for Soldier of the Pantheon because I think he will be outgunned too often but other than that nice budget build. +1

Not so sure about running 2 copies of End Hostilities in such an aggressive deck, also seems like a lot of lands for such a low curve.
Still pretty cool, +1

I agree with the guy above me, drawing land is only useful when necessary and only necessary if you have spells to spend the mana on.

This is a great deck. Have you ever wondered about using Spiteful Returned ?

TheGrayMerchant as you may know, there are Abzan Midrange (pretty much what my deck is like) and Abzan Aggro (aka Demonic Zoo). What I am going to do is make a transformativni Nikada odbor s orujem Smrt, naslednik Wilds, preziru i slino..Spiteful Returned could work for that (saving the surprise for when its confirmed).

As much as I hate playing against Azban decks, I have to say this isn't too shabby. If I had a suggestion, it would be that, you could cut back your Hero's Downfall to 3, and up your Bile Blight to 2 for higher chance of getting that early removal. But if not, I would suggest siding that Bile Blight until the time called for it and replace it with maybe a Banishing Light because it has the likelihood of not being a dead draw against any deck at the moment. If I had the money, honestly, I would build this type of deck. But since I do not, I created a different deck. Would you look at my deck and tell me what you think? Hey, I added that but I forgot to put it on my list Dragonmasteroftheworlds
November 18, 2014 6:29 p.m.
I just don't think Seeker of the Way does much for you. You only have 15 spells to trigger prowess, and some are very conditional. Also, this is the first Abzan list I've seen him in; most of the standard midrange ones don't play him in the 75.
Myself I'd prefer Heir of the Wild in this deck; a bear that can grow and push past opposing rhinos and caryatids all day long. Otherwise I think mainboard Rakshasa Deathdealer could be good; it gives you reach and it's playable early, although not easy on mana.
Now all that said, if Seeker is working for you and you find yourself getting prowess often/at critical moments, than stick with Seeker.

SSJRanulf you do have a point with the seekers. Although, there are some reasons why Seeker is preferable.
: I only need to cast 1-2 noncreature spells to make him worth my time.
With Seeker, I can usually Turn 2 drop him turn 3 some spell e.g. Hero's Downfall, Abzan Charm (usually 1 or 3), or Despise. Turn 4, lots of play walker, buff ability, swing for 4 Lifelink (works w/ both my T4 walkers, although Ajani gives some more buffs).
: Heir of the Wilds doesn't help me stall the game that much when swinging.
Although Heir will usually get in points of damage each turn, Seeker, when prowessed, will get bigger hits in consistently, as well as gain me life, which is much better when I'm in parody then a rattlesnake heir of the wilds, because some of the time, they just don't give a shit and swiing into it. But Seeker on the block, I can usually kill a dude, then kill another dude with prowess Seeker, then gain some life.
: I traded my Heir of the Wilds away
I only have 1, cuz theres been a temur outbreak at my store (more temur than abzan... shudder...)
Theres my logic. But you did have a nice point. I guess now I get to blab about Seeker of the Wins to everybody.
November 25, 2014 8:34 p.m.
That seems reasonable. Don't forget bestowing Herald of Torment on Seeker Triggers prowess.
Also a shop full of Temur sounds pretty terrifying... have then gone turn 1 Elf, turn 2 Knuckle Blade, turn 3 Polukranos, turn 4 Stormbreath to you yet? Happened to me once... not fun.

SSJRanulf Nah, but somebody used the 3rd ability of temur charm to dodge all my creatures (including a hornet queen and her spawn when I was running 1)

Why no Soldier of the Pantheon ? If you can't use him, sideboard him because there will be plenty of multicolored in standard. Also look into Ajani, Mentor of Heroes
