Abzanian Death March (Standard MTG Deck)

The deck started out with a bunch of 1 drop Deathtouch creatures and tokens that I pumped +1/+1 counters onto to finish the game, but it just wasn't consistent. I switched into some larger creatures and added some Lifegain aspects to turn the deck into a +1/+1 counter machine. Let me know what you think.

Hardened Scales is the game changer in the deck, doubling or tripling the amount of +1/+1 counters placed becomes overpowering quick.

Nyx-Fleece Ram shuts down any small to mid sized threats and Ruthless Ripper keeps the big boys at bay. Nyx-Fleece Ram is also not a Defender so when he gets +1/+1 counters on him, he can also attack.

Ajani's Pridemate comes out unassuming, but with a touch of Lifelink from taplands, Nyx-Fleece Ram or Siege Rhino he becomes a lion to be reckoned with.

Anafenza, the Foremost is a 4/4 for 3 mana and doles out a +1/+1 counter every time he attacks.

Siege Rhino is a brute and swings life 6 points when he is cast, very nice!

Abzan Ascendancy gives everyone a boost especially if there are any Hardened Scales out. The tokens are a bonus if I loose creatures. I usually use Ajani Steadfast as a double Abzan Ascendancy but I have the option extra life gain if I need it.

Sorin, Solemn Visitor pumps all my guys and gives me life gain or provides me a flier if I am short creatures. The combo with Ajani's Pridemate creates more tokens than I can usually use.

High Sentinels of Arashin are my finishers. They get huge when everyone has +1/+1 counters and they fly to get that damage through.

Sideboard:

Brain Maggot and Stain the Mind help against Control.

Retribution of the Ancients gets rid of as many creatures as I want even if they are indestructible.

Banishing Light helps to get rid of anything that is causing me trouble.

Revoke Existence kills Gods and nasty enchantments or artifacts.

Decided that Ainok Bond-Kin wasn't pulling his weight and tried out Seeker of the Way with mediocre results and then Fleecemane Lion which I figured would be the best fit, but it turns out that Ajani's Pridemate is my new favorite weapon.

With a Hardened Scales or two out and a few Lifegain Tap Lands or a Nyx-Fleece Ram and the Pridemate becomes a Pridemonster. Combo him with Sorin, Solemn Visitor and it is just ugly. I'll take a 26/26 for 1W any day!

Nyx-Fleece Ram replaces Pharika's Chosen to support Ajani's Pridemate and hold down all the little to midsized creatures that are not worth deathtouching.

Spirit Bonds was very kludgy to operate and stalled out my early ramp so it was replaced with the much more versatile Abzan Charm

I am also testing Ivorytusk Fortress out to see if his big butt and pseudo Vigilance is effective in the deck.
