Evolving Wilds works for me as a cheap fetch to get me what I need when I need it. I would run two or three here, but not the full four, because the lands do come in tapped. Keep us informed on how testing goes; I'm interested in the build.

Feast on the Fallen could be an okay card in this deck to trigger your outlast abilities.

You should try putting in Hardened Scales. Beautiful card, usually only goes for a dollar at some places.

Also maybe switch out some of your Swamp for Scoured Barrens? As you do seem to be relying more on white black more than green.

I had thought about Hardened Scales and may try to find a place for a couple, I actually see a nice synergy between it and Feast on the Fallen. If I were to add these (2 of each) I would most likely remove the ascendancy as it's counter effect is just a one time deal. The Scoured Barrens is a good suggestion I'll probably toss in 3 of those along with 2 Evolving Wilds. Thank you both for the suggestions. I may be bringing this to FNM tonight, if so I'll try to take note of my results and post them later.

Thinking of dropping 1 of each Mer-Ek Nightblade and Ainok Bond-Kin in favor of adding 2 Fleecemane Lion. Thoughts?

Fleecemane Lion is a great card. He plays both aggro and midrange, so that's probably a good idea.

good deck, i would suggest checking out other peoples abzan decks in the tappedout community for ideas on constructing your lands. i personally am running pain lands and gain lands and 2 scry lands. you can check mine out here Mid range Abzmanliness! (1st place FNM) a +1 would also be appreciated
