Thanks man. I have a few of those tutor cards in my maybe board. I;m thinking of Diabolic Tutor because its more affordable. I'm already dealing with expensive cards like Dark Depths . The problem I'm facing is what to take out in order to make room for the tutors?

I wouldn't play over 2 "Look in target player's hand" cards. More likely, run 2x Duress in the sideboard and take out the Blackmail s. I'd keep the Thoughtseize s only in the mainboard. But do what you wanna do.

You're totally right, I didn't even look at the Maybeboard. It's Monday! :D

This deck seems very scattered. Is the only/main goal to perform the Dark Depths combo as fast as possible?
June 10, 2013 11:28 a.m.
-1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth +1 Cabal Coffers
-2 Bloodline Keeper Flip +2 Phyrexian Metamorph
-4 Duress +4 Demonic Tutor or Vampiric Tutor
-2 Gatekeeper of Malakir +2 Liliana Vess
If the point is to pull off the dark depths + hexmage combo then you need way more tutors... maybe 8 is overkill but it'd insure you get the cards you want/need. Hope this helps :)

another card that can combo with Dark Depths is Thespian's Stage , when it comes into play it will not have any counters, so you get a 20/20
-3 swamp +3 stage

Interesting deck.
You should include:
- Thespian's Stage
to combo with Dark Depths
- Sign in Blood
for card draw.
- Maybe Necropotence
to get the combo insanely fast. (But note that it's a bit dangerous but still worth it.)
Take out Malakir Bloodwitch . It's too slow for this deck.
Take out those discard card. They don't fit your deck aim. Include destroyers instead to keep you safe. Doom Blade and/or Rend Flesh would be good.
Think about Darkness for additional safety.
And think about swapping Diabolic Tutor for Demonic Tutor to be faster.
I hope this helped.

I'm afraid I don't understand your Alt win-con "Alternative:Turn 2: Swamp + Dark Ritual + Lightning Greaves + Dark Ritual + Vampire Hexmage + Sacrifice + Attach Lightning Greaves + Vampiric Link . Swing for 20 with lifelink and shroud." I'm with Epoc I don't see a lot of consistency, it looks like you want to combo out Dark Depths as quickly as possible, and that's a great idea, you'll want some Thespian's Stage , more tutoring (Liliana Vess etc) You'll want more card draw as well Sign in Blood to help fetch the pieces you want. I'd ditch the discard spells from some kill spells (Doom Blade , Go for the Throat etc)

I'm more familiar with standard, but I'll try to help out as much as I can. Dark Depths seems like an awesome card, but I think running 4 might be too much, and the same goes for Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth . One land that you might be interested in is Piranha Marsh . Crypt Ghast would also help you reach your Dark Depths faster.
MTG_Player has a great point with the Thespian's Stage combo

Hex Parasite can help here too, buddy. I'd also cut a couple of Dark Depths and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth in favor of some Liliana Vess , so you can tutor for them when you have something to combo with Dark Depths or if you have Cabal Coffers and you want giant mana.
+Liliana Vess , +Thespian's Stage , - couple of legendary lands and maybe a two-off Hex Parasite to use all the Cabal Coffers mana.

Thanks heaps guys :)
Ok so I have addressed most of your points in the update but now I'm faced with removing Bloodline Keeper Flip for something more useful, and possibly Liliana Vess Liliana Vess is great but I'm not sure I still need her since I already have 12 search cards and not many ways to defend her from creatures. As far as Bloodline Keeper Flip goes my options are:- Crypt Ghast for another mana source
- Liliana's Shade for another land fetch, and also another beater if the dark depths combo fails. with Cabal Coffers , feeding the shade shouldnt be a problem.
- Dark Confidant or Necropotence or Sign in Blood for a draw mechanic.

@ Epochalyptik, tapping 1 Swamp
for 2 Dark Ritual
s gives me 5 mana which I use on Vampire Hexmage
, Lightning Greaves
and Vampiric Link
.
It's very unlikely but it's a possiblility.

You might want some hand disruption, and a way to play around wasteland or ghost quarter if you are unable to draw you combo pieces fast enough. You need the hand disruption to remove counter spells to allow yourself to combo off safely.

I used to have 10 discard cards but took them out. the tutors were more important I guess

You probably shouldn't even play Cabal Coffers . It takes until turn 3 to even pay for itself (assuming Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is out) and it doesn't tap for any mana on its own. Given that you rely on Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to make this playable, I would just cut it altogether.
Murder is expensive. You should look into cards like Slaughter Pact , Dismember , and Snuff Out .
Diabolic Tutor and Beseech the Queen seem too expensive to use effectively.

Have you considered using Vampire Nighthawk in place of some Bloodline Keeper Flip s? I pretty much stick to EDH - but I always find that Vampire Nighthawk is pretty effective.

Love the combos with Dark Depths ! I'm not a Legacy player but this looks awesome. +1
June 11, 2013 7:55 p.m.
This deck is pretty amazing! +1!
The only criticism I have is replacing Murder with something cheaper, like Diabolic Edict or Smother . Also, with all of your tutors, you don't need 4 ofs of the cards for your combos. Maybe cut some down for card draw like Sign in Blood or Night's Whisper .

@Epochalyptik. The problem I have with most of those removal suggestions is that I have to pay life. I dont have a good way of defending myself early game to prevent my opponent chipping away at my life so I don't want to help them too much. I do like Slaughter Pact though. As far as Cabal Coffers goes, I reduced it to 2x for that reason. if I need extra mana I can use my tutors to get it. maybe I should reduce it to 1x or as you said remove it. I will do a few test runs and see how it goes.
@r3v13w, I did consider vampire nighthawk but I think i need something more allong the lines of a cheap defender or something that punishes the opponent's life total for attacking. Vampire Nighthawk is still great but it is prone to first strike and double strike. Still, without Malakir Bloodwitch it is a good option. The problem is that Bloodline Keeper Flip can produce mass tokens for chump blocking.@MinscAndBoo. Thanks, it's appreciated :)@FROZR2. you forgot to actually +1 :( haha. The problem with Smother is that it is limited to creatures that cost 3 or less and I dont get to choose what I'm destroying with Diabolic Edict . I like Epochalyptik's suggestion of Slaughter Pact though. the same mana cost but a turn earlier. I agree with you about the tutors. I think i'll drop Dark Depths to 2x and Vampire Hexmage to 3x to add in a draw mechanic. it doesn't matter where I look black is always going to have to pay life. possible options are your suggestions Sign in Blood or Night's Whisper . Or Dark Confidant or Necropotence . Opinions?June 12, 2013 1:30 a.m.
Dark Confidant is a little pricey for a casual deck like this. For mono black, Necropotence seems perfectly fine but your friends will hate you lol. Consider Phyrexian Arena .
June 12, 2013 1:49 a.m.
Thanks guys.
Actually after the trial I just had I'm not sure i want to reduce Dark Depths to 2x and remove Cabal Coffers . The extra mana after turn 3 was very useful and having Dark Depths right off the bat was great. but in saying that I got Vampire Nighthawk out in turn 1 using Dark Ritual so i had no problems with defense.

With mono black and a win condition like this, maybe try to ensure it happens with Demonic Tutor type cards? Otherwise, the deck looks fun. :)
