since you deck relies on gaining life...Rhox Faithmender. i personally use them in combo with defensive life gaining deck to hold out until i can pull Devout Invocation for my win con. or Augur il-Vec with something like Celestial Mantle. If you want to go hold the lines style, also Stonehorn Dignitary.Test of Faith is another nice hold the line card that boosts your stuff up as well. a few suggestions. not sure what playstyles you prefer so good luck. looks fairly decent so far

Considering Rhox Faithmender for use in deck.

Devout Invocation is too high cmc for what I'm doing with the deck. Had one in there awhile ago.

Augur il-Vec wasn't as good as Ghost-Lit Redeemer, a card I really wanted to use in deck. I can channel whenever I have priority even on an opponent's turn - to generate token.

I also like Stonehorn Dignitary but would need a flicker effect to benefit more from his ETB.

I have a playset of Test of Faith since I really like that card. May consider that one in place of Acolyte's Reward and one Brave the Elements.

Augur il-Vec + Celestial Mantle that is the only reason i suggested it. because shadow is near impossible in terms of blocking. i personally slash a couple duel lands with blue and go Celestial Mantle + Invisible Stalker when it comes to life decks instead because also hexproof on a godly enchant. but you seem to want a pure thing going. If i get time ill build up my B/W life deck on this and show you some sneaky rude wins all because of a couple gates and Invisible Stalker.

I'll look into Celestial Mantle at a local shop, and I have a playset of Augur il-Vec somewhere in my collection.

You've got a nice concept there, and I rather like some of the cards you chose (especially Angelic Accord, one of my favorite white cards ever), but it could definitely use some tweaking. With this deck, you want to make sure Angelic Accord and Path of Bravery are in the field as early as possible, and then make sure you're gaining 4+ life every single turn, so you can flood the board with 5/5 angels until a Celestial Mantle comes up. And some of the creatures simply won't do it for you, IMO.

Alabaster Mage's ability isn't very cost-effective, especially in a deck full of 2/2 guys (you need 4 life, not 2!), and Aven Riftwatcher isn't worth it unless you can have it enter and leave the battlefield in the same turn for a 4-life bonus. My suggestion: replace the Mages with Kor Skyfishers, so you can bounce the Riftwatchers back quickly while keeping yourself protected. Cloudshift does the trick, too, and it's hella cheap.

Oh, and Lone Missionary needs to be in this deck. Absolutely. I mean, it and Angelic Accord were made for each other. I'd replace those Knight of Meadowgrain with a full playset of them, but that's up to you.

Also, I'd use 2 Erase and 2 Path to Exile instead of those four Journey to Nowhere. Path to Exile is cheaper and makes sure whatever threat you're getting rid of won't come back later, while Erase gets rid of stuff like Erebos, God of the Dead that can ruin your whole strategy if not dealt with immediately.

And lastly... Felidar Sovereign is always a good fit for lifegain Modern decks. By the time you can afford its 4WW cost, it should already be an instant win. ;)

I could check on a few of those suggestions. I'll have to go to a local shop for copies of the Skyfisher and Missionary. I'll have to wait on Path to Exile since I would need more trade for 'em.

Finding Cloudshift in my collection may take more time than finding Erase.

What more could I do with the sideboard?

Mainly, have the best protection available. You already have the right mindset - just not the cheapest / most reliable cards, perhaps.

Faith's Shield isn't half bad, but its faithful hour won't trigger unless things go horribly bad, so you might want to have a couple Gods Willing in there for the scry. Faith's Fetters might fit in there somewhere. Dawn Charm is cheaper and more versatile than Safe Passage. Hallow turns burn spells into lifegain. And Aegis of the Gods is about as good as it gets (as long as you can keep it safe from harm).

Went with Emancipation Angel for what little devotion is in deck.

May change after going to a local shop. If they have any Kor Skyfisher.

This deck could use more plus one up-votes but is it worthy enough...

I usually play for fun so keep that in mind when making your decision.

To add to the flavor of the deck, maybe consider Angelic Wall, Call To Serve, Herald of War, Luminarch Ascension, or Resolute Archangel

A seven could very well be a two turned upside down.

A five on the other hand..

Call To Serve is possible but... I like the deck without auras until further playtest.

Don't really know how a wall fits and the angels quite possibly as well.

Luminarch Ascension fit somewhat well in a Noble deck of mine. Since gotten rid of it.

I personally think this deck is casual.

I'm open for further debate about what makes a deck casual.

How often the deck flows well to your anticipation of the next draw.

How well you manage mana to CMC of said draw in use. For having good flow throughout every game.

To have a 'crunch time' move your opponent wasn't anticipating. But when it comes to multiple games of a match... or when you run out of fuel and are just top-decking the rest of the game.

This deck is not getting any playtime.
