why not put sigil of the empty throne in here to grab some free 4/4 angels? it may be a 5 mana, but angels are usually expensive anyway.

IAmTheWraith - I might have had a playset of that enchantment creature, but must have traded them since I couldn't find any in my uncommon boxes.

Larcanon - I rely more on lifegain than on enchantment plays, but I'll consider using that card.

Hmm... I'm not sure what to think of this just because till at least turn two you'll be very open. But, maybe I'm just being pessimistic about this deck. I think my other issue is how you're going to stop things like mono-red just straight-up blitzing you, and by turn four it's just about over by then and that's when it looks like the majority of your stuff will be out.

Just lower the mana curve for modern, u got to many win card and missing utility cards.all of this is only my opinion, your deck is already nice and spicy but i this there is to many pay and tap + instant at 2-3 mana

I have absolutely NO idea what a primer deck is.

All I know is that achieving the number 1 deck position is very difficult.

You need a very original idea, to time your deck cycles just right, and to feature your deck a LOT.

Do NOT go and beg other people to upvote your deck. A user did that recently and it was seen as a very annoying and silly thing to do.

Argy - I've just been deckcycling this deck a lot and featured it numerous times in the past. I don't beg for upvotes, just so you know. Also, my Magic buddy thinks this deck would do well in a Modern tournament. I usually just play this deck casually against any of his frequent builds. Thanks for the input.

What does anybody think of Fall of the Thran in Modern?

I'm considering putting two Banishing Stroke in the sideboard.

If you're looking for input, I would consider replacing the Inspiring Clerics with Martyr of Sands, and if you can afford them maybe pick up Serra Ascendants. Sweet deck, +1!

Lyra Dawnbringer of course, very expensive though :p Shalai, Voice of Plenty is also a very powerful angel.

Pride Guardian and Seal Away defend well against aggro decks. Mother of Runes is a great defensive card for your sideboard.

If you want to be a bit more aggressive, replace the Inspiring Clerics and a few Knight of Meadowgrain for some Glory-Bound Initiates and maybe some Knight Exemplars and Consul's Lieutenants.

I think Cathedral Sanctifier and Pride Guardian are usually better than Ghost-Lit Redeemer.

You could run a Luxa River Shrine for some extra lifegain.

I misread Knight Exemplar, it's not very good here. Archetype of Courage might be cool.

I don't see how Fall of the Thran does anything for you here. I wouldn't play Banishing Stroke, it's just gonna suck when you get it in your starting hand or when you draw it too early in the game.

nevermind thought lyra had cmc 6.

Flooremoji - Seraph Sanctuary has worked just fine the games I've used it. Gives me some bonus life during my end step for Sovereign next upkeep. Plus I'm usually chump blocking with angels during their turn.

I haven't been able to playtest this deck for awhile though.

Serra Ascendant and Martyr of Sands these will accelerate your life gain plan faster than anything your deck is currently doing.

Went to a LGS and got some core set singles of Ajani's Welcome. Found the four I didn't know I needed for the deck. Hell, I Didn't know it was a card. Must have over looked it on the Wizards' site.
