Basic Idea:
"Ach! Hans, Run!" + Worldspine Wurm = ur dead, bitch ;P
Mwonvuli Beast Tracker
+
Impromptu Raid
= "Ach! Hans, Run!"
This deck is a special creation that came to my mind, when I was searching my folder. I discovered
Impromptu Raid
and it strongly reminded me of the Unhinged rare "Ach! Hans, Run!". The only problem was, that it is ways worse than its fun version....But M13 brought the solution in form of
Mwonvuli Beast Tracker
. If you cast her, you put the creature you want to raid into on top of your library and therefor,
Impromptu Raid
gains the power of "Ach! Hans, Run!".The raid creature of my choice is in this case Worldspine Wurm. Simply because its the strongest available creature with trample, in my opinion. Plus, when you have to sacrifice it at end of turn, you gain 3 5/5 tramples, which is obviously greatAnd incidentally, he shuffles back into your library, which means you can re-use ih as often as you can cast
Mwonvuli Beast Tracker
.
So, the support color of my chioce, to bring in a certain consistency was obviously blue. With Brainstorm i can put the wurm on top of my library even if i happen to draw him. An with Phantasmal Image and Phyrexian Metamorph i can copy the raided wurm, or if he already died, the Tracker to search again....
Since the activion of
Impromptu Raid
isnt that cheap, I included 4 Llanowar Elves as well as 4 Arbor Elf to gain some speed.Green Sun's Zenith is a great choice here, because it allows me to virtually play 8 copies of the Tracker. Plus, in combination with Dryad Arbor, it increases the amount of mana dorks up to 12!
Though i reallly am dependant on the
Impromptu Raid
, i chose to add a 5th and a 6th copy in form of a Summoning Trap and a Proteus Staff. The Stuff is btw a great problem solver, too.
For the removal part of the deck, Beast Within does a great job. Who cares about a 3/3 if oneself has a 15/15 trample?
Finally I have to say, this is a prototype. Any suggestions, new ides as well as criticism are welcome :)
