I need a fun/theme deck for our meta, Zombie/Sliver/Elf/Vampire has been done... and I wanted a pirate.

This is the initial stages of the deck creation and I'm close to final draft but currently I feel like I am asking too much of the deck. Are counters needed? Do I want to be getting three pirates done and protecting my board state with counters, it seems good. Am I running too many artifacts? Is brass bounty win-more or too specific?
