Hey Joker do you have a good sample of an aggro deck on here I could playtest more against? if that is the biggest weakness I want to see what I can do about it.

The Sunfist Brigade by Jimhawk is the aggro deck i playtest my decks against, its a rather well built boros-human aggro deck

no decks specifically but i've noticed that gruul can out-aggro the creatures, especially with bloodrush. not only that, but they can put down creatures that are better equipped for fighting than the Boros can. Boros isn't too much of a problem since most of their cards are white weenies but their flying creatures can really poke you to death. It all comes down to killing their creatures before they kill you. Sideboard or mainboard Ulvenwald Tracker so you can kill off pesky flyers or unblockables. it also works against gruul decks because bloodrush doesn't affect a creature that's 'fighting', only 'attacking'

Thank you for the Boros deck suggestion, I'll definately use it for testing.

I'll try to find a good Gruul deck as well, and I can imagine Bloodrush can beat up my evolved creatures pretty bad. I had a match where my Young Wolf s and Zameck Guildmage were blocking and coming back each time while I grew a huge Primordial Hydra , that stall worked well. But trample wouldve ended that.

I'm going to add Ulvenwald Tracker to the sideboard though, thanks!

I really love the tapped community, I looked at this deck almost a week ago now and it's changed into something so much more effective! cant wait to change things up!

Burn decks can really tear you apart before you gain any field momentum. I don't know your budget, but i think you need some life gain cards, like Thragtusk ? (even if he is overused). it just works so well with evolve cause it's got high power and can put down a token. Other cards like card:Predator's Rapport and Sheltering Word might be good sideboard material. But if you can get your hands on some Thragtusk , i'd mainboard the thraggy.

I would reccomend running Ooze Flux instead of Forced Adaption, as it is a standalone enchantment so you dont get 2 for 1'ed by removal, also because you seem to be running alot of Undying guys, and resetting them with ooze flux is a neat combat trick :D

really wonderfull!!! +1 by me!

I like Altharus's idea a lot. It gives you options between the guildmage and the enchantment. guildmage if you only want to remove 1 1/1 counter or Ooze Flux if you want to remove multiple counters. it can also evolve your creatures if you take a 1/1 counter off of everything. Worth a shot

Madnote says... #11

I agree, I really like the Ooze Flux for multiple purposes.. But what to take out?! I really want to keep my Forced Adaptation . At a glance they look underwhelming but I've had them help a ton with consistent growth of a Gyre Sage or Simic Manipulator .

It is almost tempting to split the deck into two, one focused on Undying and removing +1/+1 counters and one focused on building +1/+1 counters..

Madnote says... #12

One option I'm considering is taking Simic Manipulator and Downsize out and replace them with the Master Biomancer and the Ooze Flux since the flux would help remove to extra counters created on my undying creatures from the biomancer, and the ooze's themselves would be even bigger because of him.

TechTony says... #13

I'd take out 2x Forced Adaptation in favour of 2x Ooze Flux . This way, you can still keep different approaches based in which cards you draw and how the game is actually headed. Or maybe taking out 1 Forced Adaptation and 1x Increasing Savagery , it depends in you!

Despite the mana cost, I'd give a try to Garruk, Primal Hunter , mainly for his 3/3 Beast Token per turn, triggering Evolution while you move counters.

Corpsejack Menace in a deck like this makes splashing black totally worth it. Then you can add things like Killing Wave viable because of the undying abilities.

JokerWx13 says... #16

i don't think there's a need to splash black as it is. and Madnote i get what you mean, so many of these cards synergize so well, there's no space for them all :( I feel like there are a bit too many undying cards, unless you have a consistent way to remove the 1/1 counters from your undying creatures, like Ooze Flux because the guildmage's second ability becomes too costly after a while. Master Biomancer synergizes well with the Ooze Flux and the undying creatures.maybe take out 1 guildmage and 2 Forced Adaptation for 2 ooze flux and take out an Increasing Savagery for 2 Master Biomancer . i took out the cards i did because i felt they were getting a little clunky: with the Ooze Flux in the deck, running 4 guildmages is obsolete. Forced Adaptation is a good card but i really wanted to fit the cards in and this card seemed like the easiest to pull out considering you run 4. took out an Increasing Savagery because they have flashback and 2 is just enough for you to draw into at least 1 of them in the game.

That actually sounds perfect Joker, and I get to keep my Simic Manipulator for creature snatching fun! I'll make the adjustments to start playtesting it.

sideboard 2 Psychic Spiral : I've been seeing a lot of mill decks lately >.> and regarding to what eatme755 said about Agoraphobia to evolve creatures easier, that's a pretty good idea. i'll look into it and see if i can get results :]

February 7, 2013 11:49 p.m.

Madnote says... #19

I -could- replace Downsize with Agoraphobia but that would be extra mana to return it before my stolen creatures with the manipulator would be as useful. And yeah Dimir mill is getting popular, Psychic Spiral is fantastic for the sideboard!

New lesson "Mutation" added to the deck page for the return of the Master Biomancer and its fantastic combo with Ooze Flux !

Thank you everyone for the fantastic feedback and suggestions. No pun intended, but this deck has really evolved! (yeah, thats just bad)

February 8, 2013 12:45 a.m.

JokerWx13 says... #21

i wouldn't replace Agoraphobia with Downsize . still testing it though but the results aren't that great. if both the cost to put it on the field and bring it back to the hand were 1 mana less, it'd be better but it wasn't worth putting down compared to other cards. Plus if you do it right, Ooze Flux will evolve all your creatures anyway

February 8, 2013 12:36 p.m.

Madnote says... #22

I agree, I was not impressed with it either, it'd tie my mana down in most cases.

This deck is SUPER sweet. Put it together and has been winning most of the time. Props on the amazing synergy, almost every card works with every other card in a very explosive way. And it's Simic <3

Naming Mutant on Cavern of Souls with a Biomancer out won't work, I don't think. They are not mutants until they enter the battlefield.
