JUST ADD PIT FIGHT ALREADY. Lol. Seriously, it's now my favorite card in all of Magic. SO GOOD.

I wish simic manipulator could have somehow been kept in this deck...just love the flavour and how fun that card is!
February 19, 2013 12:47 p.m.
Yeah, I would remove the two Ooze Flux for two Pit Fights, I will build and test how it works.
February 19, 2013 1:40 p.m.
Madnote i took out the Ooze Flux for a Master Biomancer and another Increasing Savagery . The immense number of counters, i find, is way better than taking off undying counters. They're usually too big to kill anyway by the time biomancer gives them counters or i put Increasing Savagery on them

After playtesting with this deck, i found several cards just a little clunky or slow (i dont mean to sound like im telling you what to do, this is your deck and if these cards match-up with your playstyle, and you are sucessfu with it, by all means, disregard my comments)
- Gyre Sage she grows, thats great, she starts tapping for more and more as the game goes on, but, every turn is key in standard competitive, and gyre sage can take some time to be useful, not to mention the fact that she is unreliable, she requires at least a creater with power 2 or toughness 3 to come into play next turn to even tap for (G) she is a great card, but in your deck's current state, Arbor Elf might be better, you can untap a Breeding Pool or a forest, he can evolve Cloudfin Raptor if needed. and since you have no 3 drops, he can have your turn 3 consist of 4 drops, like Master Biomancer . arbor elf also makes the (G)(G) on strangleroot and increasing savagery, and the (G)(G)(G) on vorapede much easier on you.
- Ooze Flux its under so much hate above, but its a good card, but your midrange-aggro (midmidrange?) style deck doesnt allow it to be used often, if you are going for a more aggro-y style deck i would add another Strangleroot Geist and Zameck Guildmage . zameck is faster, and you wont likely have more then 2-3 undying on the field at one time, as you should be sending them on suicide strikes, and if they die and bounce back with a counter, your opponent can always use a kill spell or Mizzium Mortars them all away. if you want a more mid-range style deck, i would cut young wolf entirely, and instead add more of Master Biomancer and fit some Fathom Mage s and Increasing Savagery , and Elusive Krasis , and Prime Speaker Zegana .

Biovisionary and Infinite Reflection combo? I don't know if it would be useful in this deck, but I find it pretty awesome (at least, as a theory...)
February 22, 2013 8:56 a.m.
Biovisionary fits in his own deck. just slapping the 2 in and hoping for an alternate win-con won't do much imo

Is Witchbane Orb not better than Psychic Spiral when it comes to mill protection?
February 23, 2013 10:35 a.m.
but you get to mill them out in response :D make them feel the same pain you have
February 23, 2013 2:51 p.m.
I brought this deck to Game Day, made it to top 8
found that running 4 raptors were better along with 4 rapids
February 23, 2013 10:11 p.m.
i dropped 2 ooze flux and 1 bioshift (kept clogging my hand)
all the forced adaptations for 3 arbor elves (helped mana issues)
2 vorapedes only , ran 2 farseeks
February 24, 2013 1:42 p.m.
ok so if i dont have Increasing Savagery, nor Strangleroot Geist what can i put in place? but everything i have though and would it be possible to put in corpsejack? and Vorapede i dont have either so i was thinking deadbridge goliath, or giant adephage
February 24, 2013 8:16 p.m.
You could probably get away with Experiment One in place of Strangleroot Geist for a little while at least, and I've had some success running Cyclonic Rift or Rancor in the Increasing Savagery slots, though honestly, every card in the deck has a specific, dedicated purpose, and variance does change results.
February 24, 2013 8:40 p.m.
thats true im gonna add that in thanks i wanna run this bad lol
February 24, 2013 9:04 p.m.
Against Esper Control this deck doesnt do so well, got wrathed every turn T.T
rancor is pretty good, strangles are pretty important for first,
Worst thing to happen was to play against Boros that did the infinite life
At least I got my strangle to 18/17 lol

I play tested Arbor Elf and it worked fairly well...mainly too get out vorapede on turn 4.Does anyone have tested it?
Note: i put out the 3 gyre sage + the forced adaptation in favor of 4 arbor, 1 more strangle and 1 more mage
February 25, 2013 2:02 p.m.
What about the invisible stalkers ? they can be in place of the strangleroots maby and bioshift counters sence there unblockable ?
February 25, 2013 2:21 p.m.
Stalkers and increasing savagery sounds rather lethal... But you could apply the same logic to elusive krasis. Bonus of krasis - extra 3 drop needed and evolve. Bonus of stalker - hexproof. Hmmmmm.
Also, on the side - this is exactly what I have been looking for in Simic :D +1 from me!

Solnox: what did u took out for him?
Jones: yes he is a good card but i dont think he goes well in the deck, for exemple, strangle is very strong with the mage and give a lot of aggro early on and thriger evole easily

As for the what to side out, your best bet would be Young Wolf for another creature such as Elusive Krasis. Ooze Flux might end up just being thrown out all together, I find it is unnecessary with what we have available already... I wouldn't mind tossing in two Pit Fights for it.
