This is my modified Azorius deck for post-rotation. Need a bit of help with this though. My previous deck was a mill deck running Jace, Memory Adept with Entreat the Angels as a secondary win condition. Now, however, I'm at a bit of a loss. Currently, my main win-con is dropping the new card that everyone loves to hate, AEtherling. However, I'm at a loss as to a decent secondary win-con.
Card explanations are below:
AEtherling - Naturally. Attack, block, flicker, what can it not do? Next to Voice of Resurgence, this card will have a serious impact this year.
AEtherize - The other "AE" in this deck. A good board-wipe to reset the opponent's board and especially effective against W/G tokens.
Azorius Charm - A wonderfully versatile little card for a variety of situations: draw a card when there's no action, return an attacking creature to the top of their library when the pressure is on, and lifelinking AEtherling when near the brink of death.
Azorius Guildgate - Not willing to drop the cash for Hallowed Fountain or to take the Shock. ETB tapped almost never ends up being a factor anyways with this deck.... so far!
Cyclonic Rift - Oh this card is so annoying, especially when overloaded. Make them reset and then Render Silent on their turn.
Detention Sphere - Planeswalker, token, and enchanement hate.
Frost Breath - Just found out this will be re-printed in M14. A nice little card that replaces Feeling of Dread. For one more mana you can stop the opponent's creatures for two of their combat phases, which would cost Feeling of Dread 4 CMC total to do the same.
Jace, Architect of Thought - Draw engine. With the new planeswalker rules, he can now be chained like Sphinx's Revelation.
Sphinx's Revelation - Of course. One of the most ubiquitous cards currently hopping around in control.
Supreme Verdict - Board wiping workhorse.
Syncopate - Good early-use counter spell for exiling spells that you never want to see again, like Unburial Rites or Thragtusk.
