For the most part, this deck's strategy is to attack with seemingly weak creatures, like Hero of Leina Tower. Most opponents would let a 1/1 creature through and accept the paltry damage it gives. That's when one can use Aspect of Hydra and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx to boost it and deal an impressive blow against the opponent's life. Better yet, use Bioshift to move all the counters on Hero of Leina Tower to Champion of Lambholt and let through some or all of one's creatures. One can choose the rack up +1/+1 counters to keep the creatures strong or leave them at a lower power to keep the other player(s) guessing!

This deck also has an elf/warrior tribal quality, whose cards help answer other player cards, like flying creatures, artifacts and enchantments, and board wipes. Elixir of Immortality recycles cards and may help the deck handle too much of one type.

There as so many fun combinations available. For example: Strangleroot Geist attacks as if it has a deathwish. Most players let it through. When it does die, and comes back with a +1/+1 counter, Avatar of the Resolute can now join the battle.

Here's another: Cast lots of cheap creatures (even tokens are okay) to lower the cost of casting Khalni Hydra, which in turn boosts devotion. Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx can aide Joraga Warcaller's multicker and make the deck's elvish legion a nightmare. If that's too tedious, just use Immaculate Magistrate to boost Joraga.
