Plan: Aggressive, low curve, go wide and attack. Any blocks that kill my creatures can trigger revolt. Aggro fodder being Night Market Lookout, Gifted Aetherborn, Lawless Broker,
Embraal Bruiser
and Glint-Sleeve Artisan. With additional revolt triggers from Yahenni, Undying Partisan,
Implement of Malice
,
Alley Evasion
and Hidden Stockpile. These trigered revolt in
Countless Gears Renegade
,
Vengeful Rebel
, Fatal Push,
Deadeye Harpooner
,
Airdrop Aeronauts
and Hidden Stockpile.
Round #1 vs Dimir 2/0. Game #1 had fast creatures attacking; opponent had had lands but no creatures to play until turn 4, which I removed. Turn 5 or 6 win. Game #2 was very close. Played
Embraal Bruiser
then Yahenni, Undying Partisan to swing for 5 on turn 3. Opponent cast Yahenni's Expertise to wipe then drop Trinket Mage searching for a
Cogwork Assembler
. Opponent then Skyship Plunderer and Fabrication Module to pump the mage to a 4/4. I was swinging with servo's from Glint-Sleeve Artisan, which he blocked allowing me to remove the game with a
Vengeful Rebel
. Opponent constantly had more creatures, but I overwhelmed with servo's created by Hidden Stockpile. It's scry ability let me avoid 3 land draws to pull
Airdrop Aeronauts
. Opponent had me down to 5 life with a 5/4 flying plunderer.
Airdrop Aeronauts
swung the game putting me on 10 life so I could survive to deal final points of damage.
Round #2 vs Orzhov 2/0. In both games we were racing which meant I couldn't get revolt triggers from opponent blocking. I didn't have activators like
Implement of Malice
either, but luckily didn't need them as I was able to play my hand very fast to put out more damage in both games - all over very quickly.
Round #3 vs Selesnya 1/1/0. Game#1 I mulled to 6; opponent mana flooded; I won. Game#2 I mulled to 5; opponent started play with Authority of the Consuls - not good for me. I played Aether Poisoner was about all I could play to begin with, which gave me a servo at least. Had skywhaler's shot, but saved it for a big creature, which I'm glad I did as it took out
Lifecraft Cavalry
with counters. Opponent kept gaining life, so I was on the back foot. Managed to take out his
Cowl Prowler
with a
Deadeye Harpooner
and put off attacks with Gifted Aetherborn before it got removed. Managed to gain some life back with swinging with Night Market Lookout that opponent didn't want to block. With enough time I probably would have lost due to the fact that I had lower costed stuff to top deck and opponent had that annoying enchanment. Came to time though and I managed to survive the remaining turns, so that was convenient.
