This casual deck is a fast, artifact heavy, budget thopter deck centered around Ensoul Artifact and Ghostfire Blade , while relying on Ghirupur AEther Grid and Shrapnel Blast to seal the deal. It destroys my other friends' casual decks and I am looking to upgrade it a bit to work in some LGS modern tournaments. I have an extremely tight budget, but am willing to look for some Hangarback Walkers and other affinity type cards to beef it up.

I am wondering what your thoughts on Thopter Engineer, Smuggler's Copter, and Chief of the Foundry are in Modern, as well as the special lands like Seat of Synod , Great Furnace, Tomb of the Spirit Dragon , Foundry of the Consuls , and possibly the new Inventors' Fair . Aether Hub seems like good cheap mana fixing, as I can't afford the good stuff and don't want any tapped lands for speed purposes.

The sideboard also merits discussion, I was thinking that instead of narrow hate cards to just shift focus to countermagic to protect my own stuff. And then there is the issue of dealing with other people hating on me, as I die to the same things affinity does and might not be resilient enough or fast enough to bounce back. Thanks!
