Went 3-0 in Modern on 8/18.
Lost high roll to be on the play each match. Was on the play only game 3 in each match.
Match 1 was against Elves. Won 2-1. Lost game 2. I did not have good synergy and should have mulliganed better. Didn't have any good synergy at all. Won 3 with a poison counter blow-out with Inkmoth with cranial plating. Moved in 2 whipflares for galvanic blasts but did not use them. Game 3 was another poison counter win.
Match 2 was against Mono-red Tron. Won 2-1. Lost game 2. Won with ornithopters 1 & 3. Match 2 got blown up by a timely pyroclasm, chandra, and pyromancer goggles + banefire. Match 3 I moved out the 4 galvanics for duress, etched champion, & thoughtcast. Won with etched with cranial plating... steel overseer played on turn 1 w/ 2 ornithopters that kept lighting up the world.
Match 3 was against Eldrazi Tron. Won 2-1. Rapid win game 1. Game 2 got smoked by Reality Smasher. Did 2 mulligans to 5 and didn't find anything great so it was too slow. He chaliced for 0 and rachet bombmed. I had a mox opal that didn't have metal craft sitting on the board with a spires of industry and a blinkmoth for mana. had a couple cranial platings but no creatures to attach to (inkmoth sure.. but... would keep falling off). ornithopter stuck in hand... galvanic blast stuck in hand... etc. galvanic not good enough against the Reality Smasher. Game 3 went my way. Not game 1 fast but got a ravager, 2 blinkmoths, 1 inkmoth, springboard... vault skirge... key was that i switched from poison (he had a ghost quarter) to just converting the blinks to ink art creatures and using a cranial plating first on the ravager since i tapped my skirge for mana. I got in another plating... and then a final one. ended up moved over the two cranial platings and swung big with the vs taking him to 1 life then me up to 30. Another cranial was on the board. VS had 5 counters on it from ravager sacing the board. he ended up finally quartering the nexus but he didn't want to lose his mana. didn't matter though. swing for the win.
*updated 9/1. Realized I didn't have Master Etherium in side and had another Etched.
