Ran Affinity at this GPT over Abzan due to a Channel Fireball article.

Swiss results: 4-0-1 and 2nd overall Winner of the top 8

R1 - Twin: G1, My opponent drew nothing so I had no idea what he was even playing. G2, He plays Splinter Twin on his Deceiver Exarch and I Galvanic Blast it in response. Win for affinity

R2 - Burn: G1 and G2 he didn't get anywhere near the explosive start he needed.

R3 - Griz Cannon: Lost in G1 to a reanimated Griselbrand on his T2. G2, Managed to get Ethersworn Canonist out and he wasn't able to play anything after getting big Griz out of the yard. G3, get Grafdigger's Cage and a lot of creatures out on T1. He scooped it up.

R4 - Standard Abzan: He seemed to be playing a standard deck with some extra cards. Sadly his deck was too slow with the Theros scry lands.

R5 - ID into Top 8

Top 8 results

Match 1: The same burn opponent as r2 of the swiss. Same result.

Match 2: Green/White Hate Bears - Run by a friend of mine. W, L, W

Match 3: Junk - Run by the guy I had ID'd against in the swiss. Close games but Etched Champion and Blood Moon were too much for him.

2 Byes for the upcoming GP in Auckland.
