Also, Kor Spiritdancer is a necessity in a casual enchantment deck.

Oh wow, Can't believe I'd never seen the Kor Spiritdancer before; I'll certainly include 4 of them--thanks for their mention!

Also, Argothian Enchantress is the same as Mesa Enchantress except its cheaper and has shroud. Stays alive a lot better, however he can't be the recipient of enchantments.

I'm sticking with the Mesa Enchantress 's over the Argothian Enchantress 's for two reasons: It's easier for me to pump out white mana, and the value difference of the two is astounding--I can't afford to make the change for such a minor improvement. Though it's nice that the Argothian has Shroud, I'm fine with the opponent expending their kill spells/abilities on a Mesa (I don't think she's going to evoke much hate regardless).

I would suggest Gladecover Scout & Slippery Bogle for this type of deck.Possibly in place of Birds of Paradise Avacyn's Pilgrim & Wasteland Viper . It would help to speed up the deck significantly, giving you a hard to remove body to enchant on turn 1.

Thanks Finarfin84! :) And wreckedd, I'm not too concerned with getting a hexproof creature on the board thanks to the four Flickering Ward 's. Also, I would much rather enchant my Kor Spiritdancer 's instead of a hexproof 1/1. If I don't happen to draw the Spiritdancers, then Wasteland Viper 's and Birds of Paradise offer good options because the vipers have Deathtouch (and can easily gain First Strike in this deck) and the birds are flying (which offers both defensive and offensive capability).
Additionally, the mana ramp is amazing, and somewhat crucial in this deck. I want as much mana asap in order to cast my 5 drop enchantments (Enchanted Evening and Sigil of the Empty Throne ), but more importantly, I want excessive mana in order to flicker Flickering Ward 's as a draw engine / angel producer. Not to mention there are numerous fetch mechanics operating in the deck, so I want additional mana to utilize them effectively without setting me back.

Not to mention that if I draw a Wasteland Viper when my board has already been established, then I can keep in hand and utilize its bloodrush ability in conjuncture with Rancor in order to allow maximum damage to role through if they block an attack; where as drawing a 1/1 hexproof mid game would be useless to me.

Good points man :-) I didn't think of flickering the ward for more draw. I'm playtesting against my enchant deck Bogle Bant Enchant and it's 2 - 2 at the moment :-) Its a fun race each game lol

I just updated the description of the deck to better reflect it's current status (it was outdated until a few minutes ago), you could give it a read if you want a somewhat thorough explanation of the deck.
And cool! I've got some free time, I'll actually playtest them against eachother aswell. :D I usually just playtest them against some of my other decks, so I haven't really seen how it performs against other decks that I haven't built. :)

Also, you might want to reload the playtest module if you've had it open for a while. I just finished making some updates not long ago. :X

Now I've figured your deck out a little more it is consistently terrorizing mine :-)
I may have to improve mine somewhat :P

I played a few matches, so far the only time Bogle Bant Enchant won was when it managed a turn 3 Detention Sphere on two Kor Spiritdancer 's, which crippled me and allowed a Slippery Bogle with Rancor , Ethereal Armor , and finally a Daybreak Coronet to take the match. I would suggest raising the number of creatures in your deck, as I went through 3 matches ridiculously fast simply because you had no creatures to summon onto the field. D: I find I have the same problem at times running with only 16 creatures, and I've been meaning to address this for some time now.

guerillarage, I feel it is redundant to include Canopy Cover , as I'm already running four Flickering Ward 's. They are arguably a better option, especially with the Kor Spiritdancer 's.
I could replace Spider Umbra with the Canopy's, but I don't feel it's necessary; I'd rather have the totem armor from the Umbra.

eh good point. I should have looked at the wards a little better

jmallette1, I'm not sure that I would even put that in the deck. Aura Gnarlid is arguably better and much more versatile, and I wouldn't remove any of the other creatures, except for perhaps the Umbra Mystic . If I were to try and squeeze the golem in, it would be at the cost of enchantments, and it's certainly not worth it. There's nothing special about a 5/5 flying, trample, first strike, especially when compared to a Kor Spiritdancer that has stacked enchantments; i've seen the Kor's become 40/40 by turn 4 pretty easily.

hi, what do you make of Retether ? I'm considering it for a similar deck
April 23, 2013 5:15 p.m.
wei_wu_wei, personally I wouldn't use it in this deck. It's a bit too slow and is more of a mid-range card. I run with it in another deck enchantment deck I own, Graveyard Aura's, which focuses on mid-range gameplay and utilizes discard mechanics to put expensive aura's in the grave.

I'd consider running 4x Ray of Revelation . In combo with Enchanted Evening it becomes a crazy good kill spell. Turn 5 Enchanted Evening turn 6 destroy 4 lands if you have 2 Ray of Revelation in your hand leaving the opponent with 2 mana on turn 6. Or can obviously destroy any creature/artifact/enchantment/whatever.
