Been thinking about adding 4x Shrapnel Blast, 4x Mountain, 4x Swiftwater Cliffs or Steam Vents and removing 3x Tomb of the Spirit Dragon, 6x Island, 1x Chief Engineer, 2x Ghostfire Blade,

And by Steam Vents I mean Shivan Reef...

seems like a really fun build, can't wait to try it or something similar at FNM

Thank you! Please playtest it and Aggressive U/r Ensoul which is my current, constantly edited, U/r version of this deck. Shrapnel Blast can be explosive, pun intended.

Thank you. I am not solid on it yet. Thinking about ditching the 4x Springleaf Drum, in Mono-U it doesn't do much but provide a bad ensoul target. Thinking main-boarding more counterspells.

Check out my deck, Running with Scissors.

I find less artifacts and more card draw & control is the way to go, so draw out the artifacts to ensoul them, and the rest is just control, counter & bounce spells to be a nuisance lol

I originally had Chief Engineer, but found him useless in this style of deck, he is better suited for UR Artifacts.

Again Scuttling Doom Engine is an artifact that you cannot ensoul or destroy on your own terms, better suited for UR artifacts with Shrapnel Blast

Your deck is interesting, and I agree with taking advantage of more counters/bounce. However it has a very different goal than mine. It feels more midrange and more prepared for a long game. I want the Chiefs to get the Dooms out quick. It is the best attempt at a tempo deck I can manage, and is at heart an aggro deck. Thank you for showing me your deck though! I think you should adjust it to a Mono-u Devotion, it looks like it could be mean!

Hahaha you are right, our decks have different goals & directions, isn't that the great thing about magic?

Oh it is a blue devotion deck! I have Master of Waves for that reason! Do you have any other blue devotion Ideas that I might have missed?

+1 from me too if I haven't already done so

I just wouldn't necessarillay run 'thopters and ensoul in a devotion deck. I would rather more blue mana and blue creatures. I did have fun playing Daring Thief with master. Because giving people 1/0 elementals in return for their guys is hilarious.

Check out Aggressive U/r Ensoul to see what I am running now. Different plan than this deck based on what worked last time. More Aggro game 1, Side in relevant counters for game 2. No need for game 3.

I like it very simular to my Beware Scuttling Dangers I am very heavily considering switching it up to either include splashed red or white still +1

I would cut them entirely if I were to run this list again. The graveyard just never gets full. Red splash is doing much better, having Shrapnel Blast is awesome. Also fills the GY faster, were you to want a less cute number of Treasure Cruise.
