Yeah but Dawn Charm costs 2. And white mana is certainly not a given. You can expect your Hierarch to die, and Temple Garden is fetchables but awkward.
I've also played tier 1 Infect for a long time. My conclusion is that a Fog effect isn't even worth playing, let alone Dawn Charm.

i meant more along the lines of Simic Charm, which should be included in this deck.

Don't look at this deck like you would a typical infect deck. This build is an aggro deck with a splash of control, and happens to use infect as its primary wincon. Consider the high focus on creatures, lack of a combo focus, and presence of a secondary sideboard wincon. Again: This is not your typical turn 2 win deck.
The only true purpose of Twisted Image is to kill Spellskite; there are no other 0-power creatures competitively played that are worth killing. However, my deck does not fold to a game 2 or even a game 1 Spellskite. I have six or seven sideboard slots already that can deal with it, and even if i don't draw removal, that activation cost will put them in a tricky situation when i land my Geist of Saint Traft. When you're at 12 life already and are facing the Geist, can you really afford to pay the four life and steal my Groundswell and Distortion Strike?
I cannot guarantee the presence of , just like i cannot guarantee the presence of . After sideboarding in Temple Garden, i have 14 sources (or potential sources) of , which should be enough to make it. Noble Hierarch will die, and fetches will backfire or not be found. I have played a few mono- games before due to lack of proper colors. It happens in multicolor decks; you just do what you can to mitigate the risk.
I have not yet proven the usefulness of Dawn Charm, but i am willing to give it a shot. I have successfully used Fog against Bogles, Tron, Burn, Jund, Infect, Fish, Amulet Bloom, and other decks; if played correctly, it basically says: "Waste your opponent's turn. You win on your next combat damage step." No matter how big or efficient your opponent's creatures are, Fog says "No" to everything, and it also leaves my opponent at a huge disadvantage when i take my turn (burned cards, wasted mana, tapped creatures). Fog has never been a dead card. I have included Dawn Charm only as a Fog replacement, and am still testing its effectiveness.

As far as Simic Charm goes... I am still playtesting with my sideboard's removal slot. I took a look at Vapor Snag, and although it was cheap, it didn't really have the effect i wanted, as the threat was just recast the next turn. I am now testing with Path to Exile, and will report what i find.

@bah-bammmm – This deck isn't midrange, it's aggro. I aim to win on turns two through five.

@crexalbo Still, Spellskite matters a great deal to this deck. It's just gravy that you get to sometimes turn a Snapcaster Mage block into a chump block, kill mana creatures and half of Affinity, sometimes surprise Tarmogoyfs. There's a surprising amount of cool things you can do. I highly recommend playing a couple in the 75.
Fog effects are rather mediocre in this deck, but if you're going to play one just play Fog and not Dawn Charm because if I wanted that effect, I'd play Dispel (Dispel is great). Costing 2 and white mana is a very real cost.

@GlistenerAgent – Dispel does counter just about all the removal out there... and it does basically equate to both the second and third modes of Dawn Charm. I'll probably just do that, add in Dispel instead of Dawn Charm.

@bah-bammmm – I have 3x Spell Pierce in mainboard already. What i may do instead is insert Mana Leak or Corrupted Resolve instead of Dispel so i can counter a wider variety of spells. But for now, i will test with Dispel.

i would just stick with Spell Pierce as a 4 of. you do not want a lot of counter spells.

@bah-bammmm – Alright, so instead of the 3 Dispel sideboard, have one Spell Pierce to make a playset, and two... what else would you recommend? Spellskite?

Spellskite is a very good thing for infect players (and others in general) to have, esp post-board. Also, what some lists have tried (which seems pretty good in practice) is having Twisted Image in the board, usually against people with spellskite or other 0-power creatures

Spellskite is absolutely wonderful. it helps so much against removal and the mirror match. and if someone is at 8 life because they are being careless, pump spells and spellskite would kill them.

Spellskite is another beatdown creature i can use, and it is immune to Lightning Bolt... I think i'll try it.

It's also just freaking great against everyone. I dare you to find a matchup where it's bad. :)

maybe because you have so much protection, Apostle's Blessing, Spellskite, Dawn Charm, you do not need Vines of Vastwood and could replace it with Might of Old Krosa. All the protection gets redundant. you have so much stuff already to save your creature and Vines of Vastwood would be double green for pump while might is only one..

Vines is the best noncreature spell in the deck. Blessing is the cut, I play 2 and have done for a while.

A player constantly does well on MTGO with 4 Spreading Seas and a Wall of Roots in the board. I have no idea why. Any ideas?

Seas does a similar job to what it does in Merfolk: disrupt their mana, keep card flow going so that you can push through removal. Wall of Roots is just a blocker against Burn. Yes, those are the actual reasons and there are no others.
October 16, 2015 11:59 p.m.
Really think it is worth it? Never seen anyone but this one guy do it
October 17, 2015 12:14 a.m.
@bah-bammmm – No.
@bromerta @GlistenerAgent – That's pretty cool! I've never heard of infect playing Spreading Seas before; i thought that was just for merfolk. And i've never even seen Wall of Roots before. I love all the different directions infect can take!

I am really starting to miss my Rancors and Distortion Strikes... It seems like i haven't been able to drae into any evasion lately. I'll keep playtesting as is and see if it is a consistent problem.

Twisted Image is also very good when you are using Pendelhaven and does kill Spellskite and many other creatures and is sideboard worthy. also, card advantage is great.
