Im thinking about playing an mono R Aggro or a mono R Burn Deck at next Game Day Event.
As this will be my first Standard Deck I would appreciate some suggestions.
Help in getting better at publishing deck lists and receiving help here on Tappedout is also appreciated.
Update 26.07.17
At the moment it tending more and more to become an R/B Minotaur Aggro Deck. I will give this a try in MTGO today.
Update 01.08.17
The Deck works well in MTGO and as I will get the last cards that I am missing for a good old paper MTG round will be in my hand in the next days I can finally playtest it in real life too.
Mainly I can kill my opponent at about turn 5-7 with swinging with 1-2 Ahn-Crop Crasher that got pumped with Brute Strength or Consuming Fervor, throw one of them in the face of my opponent with Fling, sometimes Im even able to get them back after flinging with "Bungee Rope" and killing them with another attack or Incendiary Flow, Sunscorched Desert or Ramunap Ruins
Update 05.08.17
It's Game Day Time!
Yesterday some friends and me playtested our Standard Decks for today's GameDay at our "local" (about 50km away unfortunately) Gamestore.
So I was playing against some W/G Cat Tribed Deck and this one GR - beware the Behemoth - go check it out!
Things did not go quite as well for me as I couldnt finish them soon enough in 1vs1 matches to win before they crush me with some fatties or really BIG FED Cats. I surprisingly experienced the same in MTGO the last matches, while I had no problems with that a week before.
Main Problem is that I need 1-2 Creatures outside to win the game and there is, atleast thats my feeling, a lot of removal played in these times. As I dont have MANY creatures they have to remove 2-3 that I can play until Turn 5-6 and then I have to hope to draw another one and that my opponent wont again have a removal spell. I thought about playing more creatures but there arent many more that I would want in my deck at the moment - I hope on you Ixalan!
Might have been misfortune in the last matches or how it is said: "Rehearsal must go wrong" ;-)
So wish me luck for todays tournament and I will update you on this how it went!
Update 05.08.17 #2
So I just type this as I am waiting for the last round finishing while I've got free turn as things didn't worked out that great. Could only finish one time with 18 DMG in T7 in his face. Won another round with playing enough creatures to finish another opponent in T4. The rest of the matches was lost as I couldn't play enough creatures to win early (not drawn enough creatures against all the removal/counters) and my opponent played the bigger creatures or more brutal combos. I really hope Ixalan gives this Deck a push as I love the Theme. Think this Deck will be less Instant/Sorceries and more creatures in future. I will keep you updated.
