The aim of the deck is to end the game by round 5-6.

Thanks to Chrome Mox, Dark Ritual and Lightning Greaves you are able to speed-up your early game. Your aim is to hit your opponent’s life for around 6 damage with your low cost but effective small creatures before you play Phyrexian Obliterator (usually at round 3-4). Your opponent would not be able to trade hits efficiently because your low-cost creatures like Gifted Aetherborn and Vampire Nighthawk have deathtouch and lifelink and with Supernatural Stamina you can abuse that. This is why your opponent will most likely choose to take the damage to his life points rather than block with creatures.

Once the Phyrexian Obliterator is on the battlefield you typically need only one hit with it to the life points of your opponent (unless he is crazy enough to block it) and then you finish the game with Gray Merchant of Asphodel (which on round 4-5 would deal around 6-11 damage, depending on how many creatures you managed to keep on the battlefield).

You have very nice combos with Supernatural Stamina and Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Ravenous Chupacabra, which allows you to abuse their “enter the battlefield” abilities.

Lightning Greaves are essential because they speed up your damage output and they protect your creatures (notably Phyrexian Obliterator) from single-target removals.
