Sideboard

So the inspiration for this deck came from waching a Jeff Hoogland stream where he was playing Grixis Tezzeret.

That version contained Mox Opals a few Affinity hits and like Ornithopter and Springleaf Drum plus Galvanic Blasts.

Without access to Mox Opal I have to play my list a tad bit slower but with a similar game plan. Make 5/5s and turn them sideways. Darksteel Axe and Ensoul Artifact helps me to get the most aggresive hands. However, Path to Exile is probably disastrous against that. To try and help with the pain I tried to add resistances to the deck. That comes in the form of multiple big Eldrazi threats that can A) 2 for 1 and B) Smash people in the face.

Lastly, you'll notice the thopter sword combo. Which practically guarantees I never lose a long game. This is plan B. The main losses from a typical Thopter Whir deck are that Whir is being relegated to the sideboard and Ensnaring Bridge is nowhere to be seen. I cant be trying to hold back my own large creatures.

In a few practice matches the heavy hits seem like they are almost enough. Thopter might be unneccesary. But I fear not having the reach of Galvanic Blast to clean up.

More changes are likely to come but here is where I am at.
