are you going for burn or aggro?
Either way, a few things could help you out.
my deck This Hand of Mine is Burning Red may give you some ideas.
Eidolon of the Great Revel may hurt you, but more importantly, it hurts other players. It's triggered by almost everything that comes after it, especially removal spells.
I'd definitely run 4 Incinerate before I ran 4 Lightning Strike .
fetches are in Modern now so you could run 4 Wooded Foothills and 4 Bloodstained Mire with 10 mountains. deck thinning from fetches is more noticeable the fewer lands you have, so using them to maximize your shot at drawing creatures and burn is pretty strong.
with Fetches involved, Searing Blaze becomes a much better card. It still requires 2 targets, which is annoying if all their creatures are dead, but otherwise a very powerful card when fetches are involved
Young Pyromancer reaps many of the same rewards as Monastery Swiftspear . If only it had haste :/
Stoke the Flames can be a good finisher if your meta tends to put things like Wall of Omens in your way or otherwise stabilizes at <= 4 life. Just turn those creatures that can't hit anything into mana for a free burn spell. (nice with Young Pyromancer tokens involved too.)

One more thing:
I'd run Leyline of Punishment over Everlasting Torment . You lose the Wither (which is a really cool perk actually) and gain 1 mana in cost, but you gain the ability to play it for free.

ElPared Hm, I like your Leyline of Punishment suggestion. Thanks. I'm still kind of iffy about Eidolon of the Great Revel . I'll have to playtest it but I can see it's use.
And believe me, if I could afford fetchlands, I would definitely buy them haha.
But yeah, thanks again for the advice!

I've always had a soft spot for mono colored decks.

meh, nothing stops you from having fetches in your version of the deck online ;)
and trust me, Eidolons are a house in this kind of deck. An early Eidolon is usually good for at least 4-6. after 6, he's paid for himself damage wise. Also consider that each removal spell an opponent uses on an eidolon is doing two things: Dealing damage (very few removal spells don't punish the user with an eidolon out), and not killing another, more important creature like a Swiftspear or something.
and his only drawback is he turns all your spells into a Thoughtseize which will only be a problem after around turn 6, and if your opponent is still alive, and not in burn out range, that late in the game, you've already lost anyway.

Shard Volley. Red done need your lands. Red don't bow to no man.

Well, I hate to say it, but 3 damage for 2 mana just doesn't cut it (except in the case of Skullcrack, because turning off lifegain is just too good; and Magma Jet is meh, but deck fixing is kind of good). I would suggest that you replace Lightning Strike entirely, and at the very least exchange Incinerate for Magma Spray, Pillar of Flame, or just get a different card.
I'd like to point out that RDW is not the same as Burn. Burn is mostly spells, with creature support, and RDW is creatures with spell support. You ought to decide which route you'd like to pursue, because they produce very different lists.
Seeing as you don't have the "budget" tag, I'd recommend looking at my Modern deck if you want to go with burn. KILL IT WITH FIYAH (Post Khans)

cannon_Spectacle So if I was to take this deck down the path of becoming full RDW, what do you suggest I do?

Well, RDW isn't really my thing, but I'm pretty sure it keeps some of the core burn spells--Lightning Bolt, Lava Spike, Rift Bolt, Searing Blaze. It runs creatures like Goblin Guide, Vexing Devil, Eidolon of the Great Revel, Spark Elemental, Hellspark Elemental, Hell's Thunder, and Ball Lightning in the mainboard. As great as Swiftspear is, in a list with fewer noncreature spells, it doesn't really get its chance to shine as much as in, say, Delver.
I don't know much more beyond that. My thing is straight-up burn, although my Modern deck is pretty creature-heavy.

It's really a very good deck! Upvote from me! And thanks for your comment on Blitz 'Em Down!

Very cool deck. You should raise eidolon count to 4 and remove 4x Ash Zealot. Also, as you don't have fetches for blazes, I like running Searing Blood.

I would suggest against Valakut in this deck actually. Most Valakut decks are running 25+ lands with means to tutor for more. With this being only 18 lands, I highly doubt you'll ever get 6 mountains AND Valakut. For the mainboard, the only thing I would suggest is Shard Volley , although I see you have it in the maybeboard. The only thing I can think of to make room for it is Lightning Strike , because Volley seems strictly better in this deck. I do like the Satyr Firedancer and Peak Eruption suggestions too for the sideboard. I'd put Combust in your sideboard as well, maybe in place of Slagstorm ? I only say that because Slagstorm kills all your guys as well as the other side.
