Why Alela

Static abilities/uncommon colors for a combat oriented deck/colors support the Voltron theme very well/

- Alela, Artful Provocateur + Sanguine Bond - This combo was added because Sanguine Band is a pet card of mine, but its power in this deck is without match. Even with a blocker, Alela's life gain ability means any opponent I choose is losing life regardless if I hit them or not. This combo is especially deadly when she is capable of dishing out large amounts of damage.

• Archetype of Courage + Archetype of Finality - All your creatures now have first-strike and death touch, meaning Alela will hardly ever die to combat damage and your army of token fliers give you a board state nobody will want to come near.

• Alela, Artful Provocateur + Ertai, the Corrupted - Considering that the Voltron archetype is centered on casting the pieces that trigger her static ability to create tokens, Alela will always keep Ertai fed to counter whatever pieces your opponents need to get the edge.
