TallKanz211 list is still in the works, and will be for a long, long time if I have anything to do with it

Does land tax or weathered wayfarer have a place anywhere in the deck? I have a copy of each laying around but idk what deck to build with them

Sorry for a late reply, but to tackle your questions!

Wayfarer I'd rather not play, because of the Cursed Totem but if you don't run it, or have it in your meta, it's a deece card to run, you can easily keep up with your opponents ramp.

Land Tax on the other hand wouldn't be too bad, I don't run it because I have no copies.

If you run it, please do give me your input how it fares

Land Tax is an auto-include if you never want to miss a land drop ever again. It also makes playing a turn 3 Blood Moon easy to work with. Makes surviving and using mass land wipes fun too. Goes great with Ghost Town if you never want to miss those triggers.

But Land Tax reaches Skullclamp levels of broken if you pair it with Scroll Rack, Tectonic Reformation, Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion, Necrogen Mists, Stronghold Rats, Raven's Crime or Seasoned Pyromancer with all the excess lands you can throw away. It even makes Sensei's Divining Top godly if you can shuffle your deck with Land Tax every turn before your draw step. (Even if there’s no more basic lands in the deck, that free shuffle can be great with SD-Top and Scroll Rack.) Without that extra oomph Land Tax doesn’t really bring much to the table late game, but it can feel like a Sol Ring in the early game if your deck runs a below average number of lands.

Haven't seen your decklist in a long time, but I'm considering coming back to playing Alesha once more. I can tell you are trying to stay with untapped lands, but what do you think of the Pathway lands?

Lambofan217 as soon as I'm able to get them, I will I'd play them.

They are quite flexible and fix just what you need at the moment.

And if you wanna get play Alesha, then do join the Alesha discord, it's populated by awesome people

I agree that Esper Sentinel is better suited as a tax piece than it is draw value, but I’ve been brainstorming what secondary card could help boost the draw potential of it and I think the best card to compliment it is Sword of Light and Shadow . Making the tax may be too disruptive for most players to want to pay, but it also gives the Sentinel protection from two prominent removal colors and provides a cheap recursion method to get him back as recurring a 1/1 with no evasion through your commander may be too much to ask.

Even without the Sentinel it looks like your deck has a number of other targets that look more suitable to recur with the sword than with your commander such as: Azra Oddsmaker , Linvala, Keeper of Silence , Sire Of Insanity as well as your tax pieces that lack evasion especially since the added protection the sword gives can also keep those tax pieces around longer.

I love the concept! I had an Alesha deck long ago, but am looking to get back into EDH. Do you have any updates to the combos and strategy since the card list seems to have been kept up to date but the strategy hasn't.
