Alesha 1v1 formerly Duel Commander (now Leviathan) version.
- Playstyle: Aggressive
- Look to discard creatures in to the graveyard early and often. Ideally you are looking to dump/tutor for a #1hitwin in to your graveyard turn 1-2.
- Get Alesha out turn 3.
- If you have the early win from Master of Cruelties or Minion of the Wastes on turn 4 in your GY, you did it right (nice opening hand I presume :)). Swing with Alesha and shuffle up.
- If you can't win on turn 4, try to blow up your opponents lands before they hit curve 6 or 7, or stall them with any of the annoying #AleshaTargets like Braids, Cabal Minion or False Prophet.
- Wipe, reanimate, wipe, reanimate. You like this.
- Use your #ExtraCombat drops to reuse Alesha's ability in the same turn. This is very helpful late game, as your bombs will not be as big as your opponents if you're playing against a Timmy player like I always end up doing.
- This has yet to be tested against a true control deck (like the one's I normally play) so if someone has experience with this, please drop a comment or two. I crafted this deck to play against mostly other aggro /overrun decks, so your feedback is certainly welcome :)
NOTE Alesha's win rate drops dramatically after turn 7. Avoid late game if you can. Wipes will help you reset the board again and again, but the lack of really phat beaters in the deck hurts your chances past a certain point.

when I play 1v1 matches in commander style, so this deck pulled me a little out of my blue / counterspell comfort zone. I didn't look anywhere for inspiration, I simply just pulled up (and pulled out) the sleeves, scoured the MTG databases, and found some pretty interesting ways to break Alesha's reanimation ability.
