This is looking pretty fun. I always enjoy graveyard shenanigans, especially in green. I'd suggest Lord of Extinction to really make use of Jarad's ability.

hkhssweiss Thanks for your help, I really like most of the cards you're suggesting but I'm not sure what to cut for them. I definitely want World Shaper and Protean Hulk Vindictive Lich is another great addition. Do you have suggestions for cards that don't do enough in the deck?

xander11 No problem!
I always feel that Dictate of Erebos was a tad too slow and the 5 cmc hurts quite a bit, Grave Pact is also quite hard to justify running sometimes. I would replace this card with Vindictive Lich.
While ramp is good, it can be sometimes a bit too slow and for value World Shaper out values Darksteel Ingot especially if your grave is full of lands.
Hmm Protean Hulk is a hard one as you want to find the right balance between reanimation targets as well as cmc curve. As much as I like Seasons Past it can be a doable swap. Either that or Whisper, Blood Liturgist.
I'm not too sure how your meta is like but I hope this helps!

Yo xander11,
Alright so I did take a look over your deck, and I can see why you said it might be a little slow. Some suggestions you can actually do is actually change the deck list up a bit and go a bit more creature heavy. If you go more creature heavy you can use cards like Birthing Pod and Eldritch Evolution . That being said, you run quite a bit of reactive spells, that may be the reason why your deck is a bit clunky at times as your not having the right balance between the cards you have.
I do have a question though, how is your meta like or what is the pods you are going against? Are they more on the control side, or do your games last long? How fast does the game end usually?
Depending on these answers your deck route can change as the deck will be fine tuned towards your meta. There are options for faster ramp like Culling the Weak and Dark Ritual for the burst fast plays. If you need more card draw there are options like Necropotence or Dark Confidant .
Looking forward to hearing your response buddy~

Since it looks like the deck is semi-budget I won’t suggest anything overly price but one card to start out with to add a tad more speed would be Ancient Tomb and it won’t exactly break the bank. Here’s a few cards that would combo off of Mikaeus quite nicely
- Woodfall Primus with a way to continually sac him you could wipe out your opponents boardstates.
- Aerie Ouphes will take out all opponents flying critters.
- Cauldron of Souls to give any or all your critters persist to survive an opponents board wipe or for whenever you sac one of your own critters for an effect such as your caustic caterpillar.
If you like any of these cards I can’t offer any help as to what to remove for them because it seems you have this deck fairly streamlined as it is right now. If anything it would be a couple creatures but I’m sure they all serve a purpose in this deck right now.

If you want fast mana cards like Mana Vault , Mana Crypt , and Dark Ritual can help with that. There are also classic ramp spells like Rampant Growth , Skyshroud Claim , and Cultivate . More tutors will probably help as well. Buried Alive , Imperial Seal , Demonic Tutor , and Worldly Tutor are some good examples.
I hope these cards kind of fulfilled what you are looking for!

hkhssweiss so the deck is against a mix of decks, a few fast mono green aggro decks and a few slower control decks. Control is honestly rather easy for me to deal with just because of how hard it is to keep me from getting my creatures down on the board

Hmmm xander11, you can probably consider going for a more land based build with dredging than. Life from the Loam is a strong engine along with Ramunap Excavator , Oracle of Mul Daya , Azusa, Lost but Seeking , Wayward Swordtooth , and Exploration . Against the faster aggro decks as well, Spore Frog is a lit card. If you do move towards the land type build than you can also consider the synergy between Constant Mists and Ramunap Excavator as the lands you sac'ed for the buyback cost will pay itself and any additional land plays you have will net you value. However moving towards this direction does make the deck a bit more slower, but you will definitely outvalue them in midgame and lategame.
Jarad is also pretty greedy with mana so making it more resilient seems key, you already have teched in all the great low drop removal spells that matter. So it is up to you how you want to define the deck. Let me know what you think.

KayneMarco what are some of the more pricy upgrades for the deck? This deck is meant to be my "baby" and my main edh deck just because of all the fun I have playing it

I understand fully bout a deck being your baby. I call my Zur deck my pride and joy right in the primer I wrote up for it.
Okey dokey...here we go lol. These are some ideas that would definitely help out your deck.
- Cruel Tutor
- Vampiric Tutor
- Survival of the Fittest or Fauna Shaman for a budget alternative.
- Cavern of Souls and Boseiju, Who Shelters All to tell blue players to $#*! off.
- Gaea's Cradle or Growing Rites of Itlimoc Flip as a budget alternative.
- Elvish Piper ain’t pricey but it’s a staple for me.
- Mox Diamond
- Mana Crypt
Any to all of these I think could really add to this deck.

Hey xander11, Great deck!
My suggestions are Grim Flayer , because you may select that you put i your graveyard and you can get good draws; Grapple with the Past to grow the graveyard; and I tink that Pernicious Deed can be a good card for this deck, as a mass removal.

After looking at the other comments I agree that there are some upgrades you can make if you are willing to spend the money. I think that Pernicious Deed would be great for the deck as would Toxic Deluge .
A simple and cheap improvement would be the addition of Triskelion , assuming you are okay with infinite combos. Tooth and Nail is a great card and its value if furthered with simple two creature combos like Triskelion and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed .
Diabolic Intent is a tutor that goes along with the deck theme and mechanics.
Mindslicer is another fun piece that hampers opponents more than you. You can easily recur discarded creatures and control deck will have a tough go of it without a hand. Aggro decks will also be impeded by discarding their fuel. At the very least if you can ramp into him turn two or three you will dissuade attackers.
Creeping Renaissance is a personal favorite of mine that rarely see used or mentioned. Allows for a mass return to hand effect with flashback, though the flashback is expensive. You creature cmc is on the low side, will allow you to refill board with mana dorks for more sacrificing.

If you are having trouble with aggro creature decks, I recommend Plaguecrafter , Fleshbag Marauder , or Merciless Executioner . Plaguecrafter is the best one so i recommend at least that one. My meren deck runs all three because its a reusable kill spell that you can spam multiple times per turn.
Two other cards that can help you out can be Mindslicer and Liliana, Heretical Healer Flip. Mindslicer when saced will force your opponents to top deck and will slow them down. While you should be at the same speed because you can just reanimate your cards or bring them back to your hand. Liliana is nice just because you can use her +1 to fill up your graveyard to cheat out stuff with meren or use it as another way to bring cards back to the field.
Also one really cool card to reanimate a lot with is Terastodon . In my meren deck, I bring it out by turn 3 and that just helps mess with everybody mana base.
For mana, Dryad Arbor is a good one for meren, you only need 0 exp to bring it back and its a free creature to be used to sac/produce mana.
Very cool deck. Meren was my first commander so i love seeing other meren decks. If you want, check out mine and you might be able to find cards that can help ya out

You have Dawntreader Elk in Ramp and Sac Outlet but not Sakura-Tribe Elder, which is objectively better.

xander11 Since you checked out my deck, I'll check out yours :P
Some suggestions, you can use Body Snatcher as a pseudo Karmic Guide/Phyrexian Delver that can also swap cards from your hand while you have your big fatties in there, this card is a secret tech that not much people know about! xD
While I know your more creature heavy, there is good in using reanimation type cards like the cheap effect ones such as Animate Dead, Dance of the Dead, as well as Reanimate (Luckily it's getting reprinted in UMA so that $20 price tag doesn't stay for long). While this card may be broken, Protean Hulk does a lot for your build when you have to sac him to Vraska or Jarad, getting both value and efficiency. I can see there being loops with it going for infinite recursion, but that's if your all for going the combo route.
Some great cards to also run would be like Oversold Cemetery so you can keep a constant amount of creatures to be fodder and sac over and over again. With this in mind some recent cards like Vindictive Lich and Plaguecrafter get extremely fun! Hell's Caretaker is way too slow and there is a better option in Apprentice Necromancer. I'm also surprised you aren't running Living Death unless you run into a creature heavy meta than it's understandable. World Shaper is also one to think about as it is pure value, especially if you delve into a Dredge route as well.
Hope that gives you some feedback and feel free to ask any questions or advice!
