I mean, they're "restricted" until you start farming the clones in the blue mana territory and just have him give you a duplicate of your most broken cards for ante.

@PartyJ You sure can, I play it on my windows 10 pc. Just google magic the gathering PC game shandalar 1997 or something like that. You'll find it out there.
@Gattison No problem! Glad someone found it useful.

Wow! This must having taken a lot of work! Did you make the format Limited for a reason, or was that an error?

There isn't a format that that fits the game. I did limited because the card pool is limited. I guess vintage might have made more sense.

@Korath37 - A fair amount of people, including myself, still play it. Suprisingly, it's still fun.

just getting into it, trying to figure out the interface and controls, i didn't play magic way back when, so the play and text wording is mostly new to me, i'm not sure if i'm just supposed to just make a bomb deck, or make counter decks using color hate to defeat the wizards. either way its been a trip, i've lost to black mages that started with 3 health so ive obvious have a long journey ahead

There are a few color-hate cards worth playing. Mainly, the COPs, if you have white in your deck. They are fantastic in the dungeons. Actually, white is probably the best color. It also has the best creature, Serra Angel, and the best removal spell of all time, Swords to Plowshares.

I decided to go burn for all encounters ecept bosses got 3 lightning bolts, 3 black vises, and the dwarves that sacrifice atifacts to put 1/1 counters on bird maidens and triskelions, with a wheel of fortune and and black lotus, with a lot of rocks to distentigrate for the kills bosses I ended up having a using a magical hack karma deck with cop for the prevention,

If you can beat the final boss with a burn type deck... You are my hero.

Not too long actually. Just had to go to a guy that sold all cards of each color. Longest part was typing it all.

Nice list!
Have you seen the fan project which added a bunch of newer cards? It's super cool, someone on reddit kindly passed it along to me. Not sure where it came from originally though.

Actually, that PC game had not only story mode, but also a Sealed. After trying it by myself, i won't underestimate Fireball with x3 Sol Ring and some other stuff. (well, i've never built a deck without Fireball in this Sealed mode... but actually it all ended up as a grindy land destruction control)

I love this game so very much. I still play it from time to time. Stasis builds aren't the fastest wins, but seem the most consistent against all opponents. Depending on the build of course. I do mostly creatureless unless in early game where might employ birds of paradise + instill energy or time elemental for the lock.

Thanks for making this list but it's missing a lot of cards. Ali from Cairo. All the non-restricted cards you can't buy: Juzam Djinn, Mijae Djinn, both Serendibs etc. You can get them randomly or by defeating enemies like Aga Galneer and Queltosh.
I'm invented a shandalar board game. I physically collected 4 of each card in Shandalar, though a lot are proxies. Been playing the video game for over 20 years, still playing. I'm working on digitizing the board game into boardgame simulator.
